keep getting phone call from this number everyday and stating its from IRS "this is Officer David Cooper calling you from internal revenue service and the reason of my colleagues(?) to make you aware that we have received a legal affidavit a legal case file against your name and your identities under investigation and there are three Federal charges press against you"

They mish-mashed my husband and my name and butchered our last name and identified that persona as a man. They said they have three warrants and they were sheriff of the IRS..  Word to the wise people, I am an enrolled agent.  the follwoing is true:

IRS always sends a letter first
They never leave an answering machine for a return phone number.
They will refer their call in reference to a prior letter for a letter they have already sent.  They will not call most times anyway.  You get letters and if you don't respond they will remove money from your account or lien your assets.  This is usually a 6 month process .  They NEVER call out of the blue and ask for money.  If something is criminal in order to issue warrants and not civil, they will will personally serve you at your door with Special Agents who carry weapons.  The phone call is crap and very third world intimidation routine.  Done by someone trying to intimidate immigrant people who have moved to US.

SCAM artists. Give them no information and tell them you are reporting them to authorities.They hang up real quick

This is a scam and these guys are not very good. Just annoying.

I also threatened them, told I turned them into the Federal Trade Commission and they laughed and said we are going to cease your property. They have our personal information. How and who is giving our private information away for money of course? My cell is not listed publicly and I do not understand how they get our information.

I am replying because that is the same name I was given. That Mark Anderson is Chief Officer with the IRS and they would be ceasing my property if I did not pay them, and that I also owe taxes for my mistake in 2011-2012. They have called five times in 24 hours. I have done all I know to do. They also threaten saying they will begin filing their federal charges against me since I am refusing to pay- When you call back the number they called me form it has a recording that says "You have reached the IRS". this is overbearing and harassing.

I have received calls from this number, and a few other out of state.  All phone messages indicate they are with the IRS (Indian accent).  I called back previous numbers, and received very fast busy signals.  Now, I called back this number and actually got a voice mail. I left a message saying the IRS sends notices and also threatened to report them if I receive one more call.  Let's see.

Sorry was using my phone an spell check mess up my last post hit post before noticed. They keep calling saying they are the irs an I need I call them back it's in regards to my identity is in question an theirs a case against me.

I recieved the same call!

"IRS"  Moron is going to freeze my bank accounts & his lawyer is going to arrest me for improperly filed tax returns.  In this day and age why does America allow these fools to persists?

They are a scam. I just got a call from them. Said they are from the IRS "Reassessment Department". The guy had an Indian accent. Said the IRS had already sent me 3 notices to my mailing address. They had my name correct. They had my cell number obviously and they had my home address. They asked for my date of birth, which I unfortunately gave to them. They said if I didn't resolve what I owed to the IRS, then my file was going to the State Police Department right after the call. I asked to talk to the supervisor, who also had an Indian accent. I called the number from my other phone while I was on the call with them and another guy with an Indian accent answered "Internal Revenue Service".

The IRS has a notice about these kinds of scam calls on their website. DO NOT give them your personal info!!!

A guy who identified himself as Mark Anderson at Office of Reassessment at IRS said that a warrant has been issued against me for improper filing of 2011 taxes and NJ state police will be calling me. I got his number and told him that I will call him back after talking to the police.

We are also keep getting call from these scammers and reported to local police station.

THEY KEEP CALLING ME AND WHEN I ANSWER IT - YOU COULD HEAR THEM TALK BUT THEY CAN NOT HEAR YOU, WHEN I HAND -  UP   THEY CALL BACK NEXT SECOND . VERY CRAZY PEOPLE

This is a fraud number. Someone with foriegn accent claims to be IRS officer and wants money to be sent to them for some criminal wrong doing complaint. These people have a VOIP (Internet phone), they are calling from some other country but on caller ID it appears as "Washington DC". I wish FBI can do something to catch this scam.

I would like to know where and how they received my information.  I was in the hospital not exactly what they said i had done.  How did they get the information?  I didn't give them any of my information but they kept asking me for a credit cared or for me to buy a green dot money card at WalMart.  They call me at least once a week.

It is a scam, I reported them to my county Sheriff and to the FDA as we'll! I'm in Lodi CA.  Same story as the first, lawyers fees regarding a compensation rewarded for a  lawsuit.

YES IT IS A SCAM WE HAVE THEM ON RECORDING SAYING THAT IT WAS A SCAM AND THEY HAVE BEEN DOING IT FOR 12 YEARS AND THAT WE WERE BLOODY IDIOTS FOR GIVING THEM MONEY EVEN TOLD US TO REPORT THEM TO OBAMA AND THEY DID NOT CARE !!! DO NOT GIVE THEM ANYTHING PLEASE

I keep getting calls said i won a lawsuit  from birth control for 8,500 and they need me to send them 156.00 for lawyer fees !
