TO EVERYONE ON HERE IF YOU FILLED OUT A JOB APPLICATION ON FOR EXAMPLE USEING ( SNAGAJOB OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT BEEFORE YOU FILL THE APPLICATION YOUR ACCUALLY FILLING OUT SOMETHING ABOUT EDUCATION PROCESS! SO JUST EXPECT THAT WHEN YOUR FILLING OUT ONLINE APPLICATION!

They called my papa phone he answerd they askd to speak with me i wasnt around at the time so my papa told them to call the house  phone i never got a call

Got the same call and I was told I got a grant and that other people were getting it too.! Than was told to call another number

called 3 times today no answer on the line just hangs up when I call back it says the number has been DC. Strange!

I've read all your comments. The same thing has happened to me for the past few days. They call say nothing and hang up. Just as I was about to type this they called WoW! Guess what I said, I see online you keep calling people what do you want. He ask for me by me name. How did he know my name? I said no wrong person then he asked if I was trying to further my education. I do remember applying for a job an one of these websites but I'm not sure if it's the same for the rest of you. I just said no stop calling and hung up. Now that I think about it I should have tried to get more info from him.

I just received a call from this number, they were asking for my 17 year old.  I asked what they wanted and how they got his name, they wanted to know if he wanted to further his education and he must have filled out something on the internet.  I told them to take his name off their list and he replied ok we'll call back at another time!  I said no take our number off your list....we'll see.  I'm not happy!

They keep calling and I  all back and the number will say that it's disconnect

I have been getting the same thing all day. When I answered the guy woth a cracked and squeaky voice asked my name and then hung up. Same as the rest when calling back, not in service or disconnected. Pre-pubescent hacker is what I'm thinking this could be involved with the facebook bug going on.

This # has been calling me 3 or 4 times a day and when I answer they don't say anything and hang up. When I have called back it says disconnected. I don't know who this but it is extremely aggravating!

Since it seems no one has actually spoken to the caller, it is not clear at all what the purpose of the call is so there is at present no basis to report the call.  If every time they call and you answer and the call drops or no one appears to be there, you can file a complaint with the FCC.  If they claim to be a DEA agent you can file a report on the DEA website (google DEA Agent Scam) or if they claim you have been given a government grant you can report to the FTC (google Government Grants Scam).  If they are trying to sell you goods or services and you are on the Do Not Call list you can report there.  If it is a political call or charity all you can do is ask to be placed on their internal Do Not Call list.

Same thing. I am also getting the calls.

Other than blocking the number, can we report this to police or other authorities?

I keep receiving calls from this person, I did a google search and it says its a Majorie Gibson from washington, DC. they leave no message or anything. Its getting to be very annoying as the calls keep coming even earlier each day and later each night. >:(

I received a few from this number 2 days ago. As far as I can tell it is a valid land line in Washington D.C., even though when we call it back the message states it is disconnected. Its weird.

Never been in the military. Same thing happening to me. Get phone calls from this number and when I call it back, it says it is disconnected. Guess it is the new joke of the day for somebody.

Google "Caller ID Spoofing" or "Outbound Only Telephone Numbers" as two possible explanations.

I got two calls from this number. The caller ID says District Of Columbia. But seconds after when I called back I got that "number has been disconnected" message. Really annoying!!!

I dont know vwho is calling me from this number but Im finding it to be annoying. When I returned the call the message says that the number is disconnected. How could that be? Their was only minutes between thrm calling me and me returnig the call.Please help me figure this pribblem out.
