I received a call from this company saying that it was a federal bureau of the United states and I was approved for a Grant of 7000$.   When I repeateed the part of the United states, they hung up.
This is definately a SCAM because I am Canadian, living in Canada

This is a scam for sure...been a couple days now the phone rings once, then again, and finally on the 3rd try it will actually ring 3 x's. Don't know and don't care who it is coming from just very annoying!!!

the party calling from that number did not leave a message on my voice mail.

They called me more than five times today, I didn't pick up there call and they didn't leave message, last time they call and I pick up the phone, it's was foreign female voice,she started to talk and I hug up, she didn't call again.I knew ready they're a scammers, if somebody called you more than five times a day with the number, you never knew,and no left a  message mean something suspescious.Be alert folks....

I got a women tonight and said i would get $7000.00 for us grant. I recorded the conversation!

I got a call from this number also saying they are from the grant dept of the feds. The account mgr name I was given is Judy Tyler, and the number I was told to call back is (202)657-6895

They must've inhaled a lot of Nitrous oxide to laugh like that. Usually they are rude on the phone. Don't trust the laughter. It's all a lie. They are laughing at the wrong things.

have gotten a call several times from them and they don't say much but heard laughing in background. Better not to answer.

They'll laugh now but they'll have a lot to cry later on, and the idiots don't realize it.

They are ignorant time-wasters.  They called our business and when I answered all I heard was laughter in the background and they hung up on me.  Moronic telemarketers, leave me alone!

Naturally the scammers hope we're as stupid as they are and won't realize that a grant IS funding you "did not have to pay back", unless you later failed to meet the grant's terms, which is beside the point when the "grant" offer is advance fee fraud. Here's more on the topic from the FTC:

My phone number was given to these people from what they claim was an online form filled out by someone of the name of "Aaron".   This is a scam to get your bank account information. The national do not call list does not apply to them because they are simply routing their calls through a computer with an American number. The government can do nothing seeing as they are not an American based company. You cannot contact The BBB because they are not a legit company. You can contact your local authority and issue an harassment or your phone provider to have these numbers blocked.

A guy called brian called saying call is from FEDERAL GOVT grants dept.

He gave me his Managers Number 202 559 5648 and asked me to contact him with the confirmation number that he gave me

I thought what Crap?  He gave his employee id and address where he works

Same as everyone else... I can't believe these people! I remember when scam artists used to do their homework. They had a believable story, all the right information, and could actually speak the language of the people they were trying to scam. These people didn't once ask my last name, never mentioned what branch of the government the worked for, and had a terribly thick philipino (or other hybrid asian) aaccent . If you wanted to pull off a successful scam, try learning more about the country in which you are targeting people.

This number is constantly calling me and I've repeatedly told them that they have the wrong number and that my number is on the Do Not Call List. I have also asked them to remove my number from their list. When I do this, they don't even give me a chance to explain myself because they always hang up on me. Its soooo aggravating!!!

I got a call on 11/30twice in the past hour-and-a-half.  Caller ID "name" is "Dist of Columbi". I spoke the 2nd time and understood this was a scam. He was asking for verification and I asked him back and he hung up with an attitude - GUYS DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS NUMBER!

Got this same call. The first time nobody came on the line. The second time the voice had a very thick accent and the volume kept fading in and out. I was suspicious right from the start, but since I figured this was an overseas call, faking a US number, I thought I would let them continue. When I acted like I couldn't hear, I got a very interesting litany of vulgar curse words and name calling. Interestingly enough, 20-30 seconds later, he asks, "Are you there?" I said "Yes" and our conversation continued.

I was really hoping he would start asking my name and other personal information so that I could start making stuff up. The longer I can keep him on the phone the bigger their bill...and if they are stealing phone service the more likely the unusual call will get picked up by the company being stolen from.

Finally, he got tired and hung up because I couldn't hear him very well.

Now the most important step in my plan... Notify the FCC. The website is easy to follow and you can give them all the information including the faked phone number and any identifying information they give you. It all helps build the case. The more of us that provide FCC complaints, the more likely someone is to investigate.

I just got a call from this number and the person was telling me that I was chosen to receive $7,000 and that he was calling from the federal government, when I told him I was not interesting he just hung up.

They've been calling me 4 and 5 times a day! I still don't know what they want or why they're calling. Each time I answer, I hear a pause and they hang up. Never do I hear anybody's voice! So annoying. Next time I'm going to answer & tell them to stop calling or I'm gonna press charges since my phone number is already filed with the FTC on the "do not call" list! They should really quit, stop scamming & leave folks alone.

I have received at least 5 calls from  2024055677  just today.  When I tried calling them back, I get a recorded message saying this isn't a working number.  How in the world can it not be a working number but they can still call me.  They continue to call despite my saying I'm on the DO Not Call list.  What can I do?

They have called me twice. I didn't answer either time. They also call with a block number they left a message and they know my name and he said he mailed something to my address which was correct..

I just got off the phone with them . She said that I was chosen to receive $7000 for a grant. I let her go through her little announcement. She said since I wanted to receive cash I would have to go to western union and when I get there call her finance manager or whatever named Max Neuman or Newman. I'm not going to fall for this again, I fell for it once and had to shell out $400 to get it and  never got the grant money. I ended up calling the police's fraud department and they put a case against them but they turned put to be overseas. go figure!
