Dc washnigton is a big scam...i am pressing charges against them...lord knows they will get theirs...

They got us for 290.00

I got a call from 222-222-2222 some asian guy with heavy accent and english name. He said i had a $9000 grant from the goverment. He told me to call 202-407-9093. I called and some ladie with heavy accent said to give her my bank account number or run to the nearest western union and put $290 in minutes to noriesm palomar, philipines. She kept calling until i scared her off.

I got a call today from the 222 number and they told me I could get 9000 dollar government grant. Said I was one of 1500 chosen. Gave me a number 202 407 9093 to call with confirmation number WZ1017. I called it and she said her name was Christie. She also said I had to make an online purchase of 290 dollars ao that they could verify that the right person was getting the grant. Yeah right! I blocked the number and after that they called from an unknown number then again from a private number. I called the FTC and made a report. Also called the DA consumer division and my phone co to watch for anything weird going on with my phone line. I hate it for anyone who actually believes this crap and gives these ppl their money. Don't do it! 100% scam artists!!

I got a call from 222 222 2245 and was told that I am approved to received $9,000 government cash and in order to receive it, I should call his supervisor at this number.  202 407-9093 NOW!  The caller had my name and address right and he even told me how to spend the money!  lol......

yes I have had  the same guy call me I couldn't understand him he told me the same thing he told you I think is a scam because u know india is going through  a tough  time so they try to get out of  the people they call to sent them that 290 dollars in there pocket if it was from the gov it will be free of charge so for get that and bye the way western union send them 290 that's one of my bills haha  please !

I've been getting calls all week from a "restricted" number with this exact message.   Told me I was approved for a $9000 grant for personal use.  Gave me 202-4070-9093 as the call back number.   I spoke to a guy for a while to try to get as much information as possible, but he was very difficult to understand.  I don't know if all the calls are from the same person, but they've all been male with very strong foreign accent (sounded Indian to me) ... this last call came from the phone number 222-222-2245 ... I notice that this is also a recognized number for the "US Grant" scam.  222-222-xxxx is apparently a very popular telemarketing prefix.

I just recieved the same call as everyone else...these ppl should be taught a lesson..really!!! this is bull s***..expecially for those of us who could really use this $$ .. they should be found and punished !!!!!

I just got a call from 220)407-9093 an whant me to come up with 200.00 an I would get 9,000,00 I was always tolled not to pay to get money if it is not a scam so if some one can stop this an chech them from doing this to others

Hi I got a call from 202-407-9093. talking about giving me $7000 for a grant and all i had to do was pay a $280 transfer  fee.  They had all of my information. My address my age and how many people lived with me. If these people call you hang up, its total b.s

I just got a call today and I made the follow up call. They also told me to send them $290. She said do you have that? I said no. She asked if I had anyone I could borrow it from. Figured it was a scam from jump but just wanted to be sure. I could use $7000.

I got a call told me that I got a Government grant that I did not have to pay back. They called fro 917-635-1082 told me to get the $7000 I had to call 1-202-407-9093 and give them the # WG1012 to get the money. I called they told me that I would have to send them $280 dollars I told them good by

I got that same call. I told her that this was a scam and im tired of getting these calls. she was determined that i go to western union and pay $290.00 and they would give it back plus the $7000. she made it a point to tell me several times do not say anything to the person at western union just to call her and she would walk me through getting the money. swears up and down this is not a scam... dont believe it.

i just got a call from a unknown number first then told to call this number but was put on hold so i hung up to find out if this was a scam and i put this number in google found this page , they keep calling if i don't answer they call right back, they didn't tell me anything about the 300 dollars, thanks this is good to know. people need to do this for anything they think is a scam, it help people from being scammed  times are to hard to be scammed now.

I have gotten several calls from the number 000-000-0000 over the last several weeks. i have told the person calling that i am on the do not call list and to remove me from their list. still i receive calls from them wanting to give me money from a grant. I have received the number 202-407-9093 and called them back. they state they are at 200 independence av in washington d.c.

I have gotten a call form this number multiple times. They didn't leave a message. And they will tell you that you have got a $7000 grant. and that you can get it wired to your account or get it western union. But they want you to give them 300 dollars first. I no this is scam,please take meter and arrest this people. This guys witch call me  and on my cell caller ID show only Custom:000-000-0000.
This guys also say taht is the Goverment money and i be one of selected to got it grant about $7000 no return.

Keeps calling about $7000 grant...needs to stop because it is getting annoying
