I fell for it they got a total of $750.00 from me. How could I have done that. Been so easily pursuaded to do something like that. I feel so stupid. Im so upset and ashamed of myself. I only did it because I love my kids and I wanted to get them new clothes a down payment on a car and save the rest for a little stability. I cried all day today. They got me good. And there isnt anything I can do now. Please pray for me. I hope nobody else falls for this.

Well this reminds me of another Nigerian scam that I was scammed with. I had went through a horrific episode with my ex and I met him on OK Cupid well he said he was from Florida and a civil engineer. He had one thig after another happen to him while overseas. Imagine that one. He took me for $15,000 I am a single mom on welfare and working two jobs and putting myself through college. I have no life and this man led me to believe he cared about me. His English was just as choppy and this man. Come on do you really think that someone who works for the US Government would have such choppy English. Anyways I too won $9200 today and was given the same number. I think we all should remember that there are a lot of scams coming out of Nigeria and we all need to be very careful. Remember if it sounds to good to be true it probably is. What really bothers me the most is that I have gone through all sorts of abuse that was done to my family and myself and I can honestly say that being scammed is the hardest to recover. So please what ever you do DO NOT FALL FOR THIS BS.

Things to believe:
* There ain't no such thing as a free lunch (TANSTAFL)
* If it looks too good to be true, it probably is.
* You have not won big bucks from an unknown government benefactor <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
* The tooth fairy really does not exist
* Everything you read on the internet is not necessarily true.
* It is illegal to pay money for a loan, BEFORE getting the loan!
* "Free Trips" are loaded with mandatory & costly extras, and you usually must give them your card number after listening to a loooong spiel at a hotel.

Received call from "Michael Austin" telling me that because I was a good American - always paid bills on time, no criminal record or backruptcy, the Treasury Department wanted to award me a Loyalty Grant of $9200, which is not to be used for anything either than health, home or transportation. Was given ID number GG1101 and told to call 202 407 9711 to claim my Loyalty Grant. How did this prankster get my telephone? What other info does he/they have?
| RLJ 2014-03-28 17:21:42 Unknown |
He just called me. He said it was a $9200.00 loyalty grant from the government. With the same grant # same employee ID # as most of your posts. He said his name was Max Miller.

A guy called me and told me I got a Government grant of $9200. What gave it away was, he said he was in DC and ask if I still lived in the city of Texas. Not the state of Texas. I did not call the number. Now I see this as a scam, I wont call back either. They gave me an ID GG1101. He claimed to be Michael Osteem Employee # 5501

I just received a call from a number 730102 (which is not even long enough to be number) saying I have been approved for a grant in the amount of $9,200. After informing me that I needed to call this (202)407-9711 number and give the confirmation code, I would receive this grant as soon as possible. Thought it was a little strange, so I tried dialing the number 3 different times from my desk phone. With no answer, I called from my cell phone and there was an immediate pick up. (That's when I knew this was a scam) but I proceeded to play along with this gentleman and pretend I was excited. He could hardly speak English, so as I began to question whether or not this was a scam, he became flustered and hung up on me. I immediately called back and asked why he had hung up on me, he said "You canceled", then hung up again. I am curious as to how he knew my name and all of my information??

I got a call an hour ago from this weard casent guy who said I was chosen by the government for a grant of $9200.00 I had never heard of this so called grants. He gave me this phone# for me to call and gave me a claim # as well but before hanging up I started questioning him and all he said was "just call the number after I hang up ok" so I played along and said ok. So I called and gave this other guy the claim # and all he said was the banck is closed already call back Monday. After I hanged up I called the police dep. And reported the scam. The only thing that wories me now is that when he called he alresdy had my full nam,e adress and phone#... where did they get this info?? Might they have more of my personal info?? Can this turn into identity theft?? Is there anything we can do about it or someone we can call and make sure everithing is ok with our personal info/identity??
