just received a phone call from the Government.  A man named Norman said i will receive 6,000 dollars all i have to do is go to the Western Union store.  He couldn't give me a reason for getting the money except that i pay my bills on time.  It does not sound like a good deal to me.

this is not real its a scam more thine likely nigeria..that whole country is nothing more then trying to scam folks...i got the same call..just tell them not to call back...

i received the same call . i didnt return the call cause i "smelled a rat" . so i decided to look it up and found this. i am sure we arent all so called winners by this " government " the guy was very foreign.

Like many of you I received thsi call today for teh $so called 6k grant. Of course, Impossible to understand half of it and make them repeat undelssly. So, I played along after I saw your posts and I called the number they gave me. They started by saying that I have to go to western union to pick-up the money. My Only question was: is it cash or Check? he said it's cash!. So I replied, let me tell you one thing sir, the US gov doesn't issue cash, it issues checks to specified people and keeps tabs of 'em. I added this sounds to me like some money laundring scam. This is the end of our call.

The guy who called could barely speak English! According to him, he was calling from the US government and my cell phone number had been selected to receive a grant. I asked for a call back number and it took him 2 minutes to give it to me.
