While I agree that ignorance is no excuse, remember what I said in September about survey calls with "a hidden commercial purpose". The sort of call described by "Investigative One" has become pandemic in recent months, with the callers changing their business name every few weeks. Such callers are definitely NOT exempt from DNC registry scrubs and they are trying to end-run the law besides.

This ruse was more or less perfected by the Dove Foundation several years ago and then adopted by a cabal of security system hawkers with their flimsy fake surveys asking people to count their installed fire and smoke alarms.

I keep getting calls on my home and work numbers.  Even pressing 9 to get off the list doesn't work.

The Do Not Call list does NOT protect you against political agendas, surveys or opinion polls. If you don't want to be called then get rid of your phone. It is people like you that DIDN'T want door to door sales, and DIDN'T want phone sales OR e-mail sales. It is due to this that the economy SUCKS.

Read the law BEFORE you cry about it

Got a call this morning (9/24/11) from 503-902-8101 and it said "CFPP Research".  I did not answer figuring it was a peddler and let it go to the answering machine.  They hung up leaving no message.

My call from CFPP is definitely on the brink (or in the middle) of "Fraud" and lies.  The robot message stated that, after participating in a short survey, we would be awarded a two-day cruise to the Bahamas via a travel agent.  After the four questions, the line was disconnected.  I, too, have the no call request loud and clear, BUT I did participate in the survey.

We are truly trusting souls.

Better yet, review the rules you agreed to when you registered your numbers. The following URL links to the FTC FAQ page which the DNC site *twice* coaxed you to read at that time. See items 28 through 32.
http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/alerts/alt107.shtm

If you find a hidden commercial purpose behind the calls, *then* you may have cause to complain.

Better yet, have your company check the national and state "do not call" lists before they call people.  People who have submitted their number to this list do not want solicitation or survey calls. That's the point.  Why do you not understand that?  Why should we have to contact *you* to be removed from your list?  I hope you get fined by the FTC big time.

Really, if I get called more than once you await my notification.  How about every hour on the hour for 4 hours.   so here is an idea, after 2 or 3 failed attempts remove the number from your calling list.  If your goal is not to annoy anyone you are failing big time.

What a piece of s***. Auto calls us whenever they feel like it, if we aren't at their convenience they hang up just to call back several more times and hang up. If you do happen to talk to one of them they just auto dial back. Ask to be removed, they sell our number to other a***oles.
I do not understand why everyone doesn't have a digital phone. You can set it to only accept visible numbers and then you can block them. Sooner or later they run out of portable numbers and you are through with that caller permanently!.

Oh, and as for anyone that calls people for any kind of solicitation, survey or whatever, F#$$%%@K YOU.

Can I get a HEEEL YEAH...........

The call went to voice mail. They left a one word clip: "vacation"  Call-ID said "Voice Network I". Probably a telemarketer...
