Can't count on people like this to respect your wish to be left alone. Get a phone blocker:

I keep getting unwanted calls from 202 0459-9004. I see by googling the phone number that someone else has identified the caller as Meyer Associates".

Who do we think we are? We think we are telephone customers who subscribe to a phone line for our convenience, not yours. We think that scamming is wrong and that disturbing people unnecessarily is rude. We don't care about your job or your welfare because we don't know you at all?and don't care to.

It's July 2013 and I'm getting calls from this number every couple of days on my cel phone. I never pick it up & they never leave a voice mail.
Marie 2013-07-06 18:35:16 Unknown
Caller ID says UNKNOWN NAME. No voicemail left.
Jorge 2012-08-02 14:01:32 Unknown
Do not know who calls but, they call all day long and it is annoying. When I answer they ask for different people all the time.
Gary 2012-06-28 02:12:15 Unknown
This number won't be calling me again. I use PHONE TRAY, the free call blocking program, to hang up on any future calls. Google "Phone Tray Free" if you'd like a copy of the program.
Barry 2012-06-28 02:09:12 Unknown
Then it's time to MOVE. If you can't find any other job and HAVE to annoy people for a living, don't complain when people hang up on you or report you to the FCC for repeatedly calling them when you've been told not to call again.
Thor 2012-06-18 20:52:20 Unknown
That number calls every day, often times 3-4 days a day.

2 of my nephews worked for a telemarketer before they got replaced by a prison call center, where inmates make the calls. (Doesn't That Make You Feel Safe)
and when they will only accept $15. as a minimum donation for police bullet proof vests or whatever they say. the first $15 goes to the Telemarketing company ,anything after that goes to the people they are calling for. so remember if you want to donate give it directly ,don't fall for the telemarketers scam of $15. minimum. you are just giving $$$ to a telemarketing company. I'd rather give it directly to Salvation Army or the Red Cross.
Nate 2011-06-06 20:41:28 Unknown
This is a telemarketing company
Sara 2011-06-06 20:41:28 Unknown
I get a call from them at least twice a day, for the last several months. I never answer and they never leave a message.

The sheer childness of the newest post is somewhat amusing, if it weren't disturbing. What could cause such demeaning rhetoric from an adult, I dont know. Please grow up and understand what we are dealing with here. Maybe YOU should stop acting like a victim!
idontcare 2010-10-19 00:54:07 Unknown
seriously...listen to yourself, you obviously need to shut your own piehole. The fact that you ramble on about it as long as you do in your post means that you hate yourself as much as your job. so get a new job...i know a good army recruiter! the rest of us dont need to be bothered with the annoying calls just because you hate your job and can't find a real one! I'd like some fries with that junior!

I don't feel bad for people who do this job. Sorry about your luck, dude!! But if you mess with my homelife, the peace and quiet and privacy that I EXPECT in my own home... I WILL report you and the company you work for!!! Count on IT!! ... and as far as being EXEMPT from the "do not call" list... I call bull-defocation on that... yes, you might be, but the fact remains that once somebody says "stop calling" you cross into harrassment by telecomunications territory... I have NO quams about pressing charges or filing complaints.... and don't bother asking me to feel bad for you. If being on the phone is what you want to do... there are OTHER option that don't even require you to leave your home... seriously. Poor babies. If your job is that bad, file your own complaints and leave, relocate, start your own phone sex busines... I will NOT pity you. Leave me the hell alone and stop acting like a victim. It's harrassment plain and simple... and I for one will not tolerate it.
Cheers, ya rats~!!

i had to quit there. that job was terrible. i did it for extra money. and i hope you people understand that it is hard bugging people for money. with each call i made i felt crappier and crappier. they don't care about their employees i agree. i was sick and had a doctors note and they still yelled at me for being gone more then me "schedule changed days" if they call make their lives easier and just hang up. we get paid to "screen" our calls which means 3 asks and "dollar drop" it was a pain in the a**

Bite Telemarketing Calls In The Backside!
Telemarketers are required by law to maintain a "Do-Not-Call" list where they put the numbers of people who don't want to receive future solicitations from them. Numbers on the list must remain there for at least 10 years. If you want to be a b*****d and play the Telemarketer Mini-Lottery, demand a written copy of their do-not-call policy, which they are required by law to provide. Any telemarketing company failing to provide this owes you $500 under the TCPA (Telephone Consumer Protection Act). It might not be a $350 million jackpot, but it'll more than pay for the dinner they ruined.

Meyer Associates Teleservices is one of the most unethical companies that I've ever worked for. The day I walked out I felt like a million tons had been lifted off of my shoulders.
This company is hurting for contributions, so they have started a program of systematically bullying potential contributors into giving money. They will call you once a day, every day until you either give something, or you demand to be taken off of their list. You will not be taken off of their calling lists. They cloak themselves in the fact that they are a poltical organization and they are exempt from the Do Not Call Registry.
If you receive a call from a Meyer rep, and you feel like they are rude, don't. They are doing what they are being instructed to do for fear of losing their jobs. Many of them would walk out in a heartbeat if there were any other jobs in the area to be had. This is what Meyer Associates counts on. Keeping their employees in a constant state of fear for their jobs. Meyer Associates opened their call center in Eveleth, MN where the economy is based almost totally on iron mining. These mines have laid off hundreds of people and there are more lay off sure to come in the future.
If you have requested to be removed from their calling list and are still receiving calls, contact the Federal Communications Commission and let them know that Meyer Associates is violating the law. This is the only way that you will get them to stop calling, and I'm sure that the employees would appreciate it greatly.
I had another job to go to, but many of the people who are still working there do not. If you don't want to talk to them, just say no and hang up. I can assure you that they will understand and they will thank you for it.
Employee 2009-02-04 04:20:25 Unknown
Do you think if we could find other jobs in the area where we live that we wouldn't? You could call the FCC and file a complaint, but instead you'd rather be a prick.
Just Chillun 2008-10-28 21:21:44 Unknown
Missed call at 4:12 p.m. This is the first and only call from this number I have received. I did not pick up, and no message was left.

Sign HuffPost's Say "No" to Pollsters Petition!
Today's political landscape is littered with politicians and reporters addicted to treating polling results as if Moses just brought them down from the mountaintop. Since we can't expect these polling junkies to kick the habit on their own, we've decided to stage an intervention. And it's as easy as hanging up your phone. If enough of us refuse to answer pollsters' questions, their data will become so unreliable even the media would have to admit it was useless. --Arianna Huffington

Meyer doesn't care about their employees. They can't keep people as it is because it's such a crappy place to work. Being cost effective just doesn't seem to be an issue for these people.
Nick Braden 2008-03-25 21:27:19 Unknown
Two calls a day from "Unknown Name" and phone number 202-459-9004 according to my caller I.D. Very annoying.
telemarketer hater 2008-02-26 01:30:58 Unknown
don't know what the details are because i don't answer "unknown name" calls, but, based on the above i found: http://www.callmeyer.com/contact.htm which allegedly allows you to opt out. i didn't want to give my email, so, i used the one on their page: dnc@callmeyer.com
telemarketer hater 2008-02-26 01:23:05 Unknown
that's why we give you a hard time when you call -- the more you hate the job, the less likely you are to do it, the less people who do it, the more they have to pay to get the next person to do it, the more they have to pay, the less cost effective it is, and finally, after 20 million years, maybe we put telemarkters out of business.
