I've received the same called and they told me to go to WU and send them $ 250 for security deposit but the doubt is that they told me to not tell the WU workers anything about the government grant... But guess what!!!!! I was sitting in my living room and pretending that I was at the WU.. suddenly they asked me. Are you at WU?
me:  yes
them: well take a green western union paper and fill out your information Including (name, address, phone # etc..)
me: okay sir
Them: you finished
me: yup
them: well the money should be send to DUIDO  BENAVIDEZJR
me: yes sir, I already wrote it down but what should I do for the destination

me: ummm okay and then what
Them: Thanks man, then give us the number so we can received and approved your payment
Me: I gave them random numbers which were: 2 4 5 1 8 9 4 9
Them: thank you
Me: so how do I get my $ 7800 grant
Them: try to be smart by giving me a random numbers as well ( 9 1 2 3 4 9 6 5)
me: ok sir Thank you
Them: five minutes later, they called me with a different number and told me to go to the cashier and get the money.
Me: well sir I went and the cashier said that I don't received any grant money from the government and plus the number you gave me is not good at all.
Them: you too man, we just figure out that the number you gave us is not good too... so stop it,  scammer
Me: B*****t,  are you dare to call me scammer, you guys are all scammers... If you want to get easy money from people,,, this is not a smart way  and anyway I already reported your phone number to the FBI including all of your information.
Them: FBI Ummmm Then Hang up the phone

This is not true.. They all are scammers........ En plus  the government don't send out grant like this... they will send you a government check which clarify that you receive a government grant money.....

I received a call from "Rose Taylor'. She said i filled out  a survey to receive a school grant for 7,800 and  i needed to send a 250 dollar security deposit. I didn't fill out a survey. When i called back no one answered. Then they called me back. It was a guy named John. He became very upset when i told him that they were a scam. The gov. would not contact you, you would get a check in the mail. i also said that i contacted my aunt who is a sheriff, and he became even more upset.He told me " Don't use the word sheriff over here." He ended the call with a laugh then said good bye and have a nice day.

I just got a call from a gloria kelly too she told me. the same. thing to glad you gays post this on line

I recieve the call i wanna know how they got my number i live with my cousin nothing is in my name here.

I also got a call from Jack Girnor.  Same premise.  I told him that I do not do business on the phone and to send me something in the mail so I can research that this is not a scam.  He never gave me an address nor asked for my address.  He just gave me a number of his manager 1-202-470-1113.  Also my caller ID said "Unknown caller".  Beware.

I just got a call with the name Edwin (India accent). What a scam.

I also received the same phone call and questioned her and she hung up on me.

Ive just got myself scammed fron a secret shopper job in the process of getting in trouble then these people call like i get real tired of this crap people need jobs fareal and its not safe putting your information on the internet cause its like they use it like a flyer pass it around not cool at all i wish i could get them caught up....

I just received a call from "Mary Parker" (who also had a very distinct Indian accent) telling me the same story: I get a "grant" for $7,800; have to go to Western Union with $250 "deposit that will verify my name and signature;" call the 202-470-1113 phone number; follow the instructions by her senior manager; and don't tell the WU person anything about this "government grant program for people who pay their taxes on time and don't have any criminal record."  When I asked why the Gvnmt doesn't just send me a check she said they used to do this but got too many complaints that the checks were late or lost in the mail.  So, let me get this straight: The government used to send people checks in the mail, but too many people complained that their $7,800 didn't get to them in a timely fashion, so now they wire the money to you via Western Union?  Am I the only one here who thinks this sounds just a little funny?

I received the same call today June 21st, but from a Janet Brown with a Jamaican accent.  I would get a check for $8050, but would wire $250 to them, and the total for me would be $7800.  This is grant money because I pay my taxes, bills, and no arrest record in the past 6 months.  I'm to go to a Western Union office, which can be located in Kroger or Family Dollar.  While at Western Union, I'm to call the 202-470-1113 number.  They are only open from 11 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday according to Janet.

I don't think our government needs to be sending out $7800 in grant money for being good for 6 months.

Just received a phone call from a "gloria kelly"( which sounded like she was from india. Anyways, she said the government selected me to receive $7,800.00 from a western union, but i needed to send a security deposit of $250.00, that too would be refunded, all because I have no criminal activity reported in the past 6 months. I said this sounds like a big scam, she rambled on the washinton,dc address and said she works for the government. She stated over n over again not to tell western union the details of any of this because they would charge me a giant fee for finding out I was getting all this money. B***S***!!!!!  If the government wanted to give me $ it would be a check in the mail, why would western union need to issue me government money and since when did they start giving out thousands of dollars for being good??? please let me know if anyone else is getting this same b***s*** phone call
