I received a call fron a woman who was going to give me a grant for 8400.00 I KINDA FELT IT WAS A SCAM she gave a name of Joel Porter to call to file the paper work

I got a call from a 2026668143 number saying that I was approved for a 8400 grant and all I had to do is give them a card number and it would be sent to my account but then she said I had to call a joel border at 202 470 2933 and he would really wish the money into my account but he said that I had to pay $220 processing fee at work for me to get my money in 45 minutes so that's when I looked up the number and I found that it was a scammer

I had receive a phone from the same people yesterday. I was also giving a grantID number and to there account manager byy the name oF JOE BORTER.. I call him in 15mins and he told me that I had to pay $220 to waive an application fee nd that the money would be process in my account within 45mins. Then he ask me if i had the money to pay the fee nd i reply no so he told me to have a nice day. So shortly afterwards i calld my bank and put a block on my account until i go and
reopen a new one so please do your research on things like this before giving out ur personal information this is truly a lesson learned

No real business, Government Agency, etc. uses "Western Union". If you read their money transfer form it is to be used for family & friends only. NO OTHER PERSON. It is cash, untraceable cash. That is why the scammers use it, because it can be picked up anywhere in the world with little, or no ID. This is a simple Nigerian advance fee scam. Anytime you are asked to pay a fee to receive a loan, gift, prize, lottery win, Government Grant, etc. It is a scam. 100% every time. If they tell you it is for tax, when you get your paycheck, do you Western Union the Federal Government money before you get your paycheck? Comes off the top, right?

The man with a heavy accent reported that he worked with the Federal Government Grant department.  If I paid $220 via Western Union than I would receive a small business grant with in 45 minutes.  This would be non refundable.  He said I was randomly approved along with 1500 people and the money will be coming from Federal Reserve Bank of New York.  I new it was fishy.  He wouldn't email me any information regarding it and didn't have a proper voicemail.
