Got a call from Patrick Wilson, said he was an attorney, worked for check systems.  Said I would be sued iI I did not pay a cash advance loan of $500.  I once took out a payday loan but not for that amount and it was repaid.  He also had my bank name, my addresses, ss # and a relative name.  He wanted me to settle the account, but I refused.
I have been getting these calls for about 3 years, Indian accent, police names, different phone numbers and different names and even different locations for the phone, were all used.  Now a Patrick Wilson, sounds like a proffesional business person, no accent.  I checked out the number that he left on my phone.  This number is in PA.
When I refused to pay him, he yelled in the phone:  consider yourself served, then he slams the phone down.  This person also has a male receptionist, wonder if he's in on the scam too?  It sounds like a lot of background noise, like an office, I wonder if this man has upgraded his game.  I'm waiting for the papers to come.  In the meantime I will get my lawyer on his case.  Then I'll  sue him!!!!!

Foreign man by the name of "Patrick Wilson" calls from the "United States Crime Division," with claims that you owe money for a bank fraud case.  This is a scam. I have talked with him on several occasions and he is unable to give me any information about his department or anything else.

I RECEIVED A PHONE CALL THIS MORNING AROUND 9:05 AM AND IT WAS A OFFICER MICHAEL GIBBS WITH THE US CRIME PREVENTION BUREAU OF INVESTAGATIONS. HE TOLD ME THAT I NEEDING TO RETURN HIS CALL AND THAT IF I DIDNT THAT LEGAL ACTIONS WOULD BE TAKEN AGAINST ME AND THAT I WOULD FIND OUT WHAT KINDOF LEGAL ACTIONS WITHIN 48 HOURS. SO I CALLED AND IT WAS A NEW JERSEY PHONE NUMBER AND HE SAID THAT A LEGAL COMPLAINT HAD BEEN FILED AGAINST ME THAT I OWED SOME CASH ADVANCE PAYDAY LOAN OF 400.00. I NEVER TOOK OUT A LOAN OVER THE INTERNET AND PLUS HE SAID IT WAS TO A BANK THAT I HAVE NEVER HAD AN ACCOUNT IN. HE HAD MY BDAY, SSN, ADDRESS, CELL PHONE NUMBER. WHEN I DID FINALLY GET IN TOUCH WITH HIM HE HAD A VERY THICK ACCENT AND HE SAID THAT AFTER HE TOLD ME EVERYTHING THEN I COULD ASK WHATEVER QUESTIONS I WANTED. SO I LISTENED AND THEN I ASKED HIM TO SEND ME PAPERWORK OF THE PERSONS CLAIMING I OWE AND HE COULDNT. HE TOLD EM THAT I NEEDED TO TAKE CARE OF THIS WITHIN 21 DAYS AND IF NOT THAT LEGAL ACTION WOULD PROCEED. I ALSO ASKED WHERE I COULD SEND IN A MONEY ORDER AND HE TOLD ME THAT HE COULDNT GIVE OUT THAT INFORMATION AND THAT I WOULD HAVE TO GO TO WALMART OR WALGREENS AND GET A DEBIT VISA/MASTERCARD AND PUT THE MONEY ON IT. AND PAY THE BILL. SO I ASKED TO SPEAK TO HIS SUPERVISOR HE SAID THAT HIS SUPERIOR WAS RIGHT THERE. SO I WAS PUT ON HOLD FOR 5-10 MINUTES AND THEN THEY CAME TO THE LINE AND I ASKED WHOM SPEAKING HE SAID WILLIAM WALTERS, HE HAD AN ACCENT TO BUT NOT QUITE AS THICK. WHEN I TOLD HIM THAT I WOULD BE EXPECTING PAPERWORK IN THE MAIL ABOUT THIS BEFORE I DID ANYTHING HE TOLD ME THAT THEY WOULD GET THE MONEY ONE WAY OR ANOTHER. SO I TOLD HIM THAT I WOULD BE CONSULTING MY LAWYER AND HE JUST FLEW OFF THE HANDLE YELLING AND SCREAMING AT ME ABOUT I DIDNT NEED TO GET 1 ATTORENY BUT I NEEDED TO GET 5 OR 6 I WOULD NEED THEM AND THEN HE HUNG UP. THIS IS A SCAM AND WE ALL NEED TO GET TOGETHER AND REPORT IT TO THE AUTORITIES.

I received a call from an Agent Matt Jones telling me I won $350,000 from the Publishers Clearing House and needed to verify my address for deliver of the check.  Wanted to be sure I was home to accept delivery between the house of 9am and 12 noon tomorrow, May 28.  Then before the call was over, he asked why I didn't pay for the insurance on the check of 10% of my winnings.  I told him I was out of work and broke.  He tem told me he couldn't deliver the check without my payment of the insurance.

I tried to trace the number but it is untraceable.

man called read off last four of ss and my employer and my p.o number sayed he was with the u.s. investigation crime prevention dept. name was patrick willson treatened legal procedings. number was 305-515-8380. that area code is miami. I called the Miami FBI and they stated that there was no officer by that name and they are the u.s. investigation. this man is a fraud and i am filling police reports against this fraud

I Just got a call on my voicemail, saying that my personal information has been listed on a a serious legal case, from the us investigation bureau crime prevention department. Total scam, didnt knwo anyhting more about me then what my name was and my number.

Message on my cell phone around 3:30 on Friday, a very hard to understand man (India accent) by the name of "Patrick Wilson" w/ the "US Bureau of Investigation Crime Prevention Dept" saying my name & SS# had been presented to him in a criminal investigation, it would be in my best interest to call him back or he would call the atty and present this to the court. I was actually out of town on vacation, so I spent the entire weekend worrying about this. Now its Monday afternoon & just about to go to my atty's office and let him hear the message when my coworker told me to google the number...and what do I find. And now I'm just angry.!

I just received a message from this guy it makes me really nervous, I'm not goin to call back after reading this and looking it up to find out its a scam...is that the right thing to do?

I received this same call.  I thought I would check out the number before returning the call.  I'm glad I did.  I was recently scammed out of $775 making an upfront payment to what I thought was Lending Tree.  i will report this call to the FBI and local police.

Caller said he was with the US Investigative department for Criminal Justice.  Said it was in my best interest to to contact him before they contacted my employer.  Should you not return our call, call your attorney to represent you.

REPORT THE CALL THE FBI, LOCAL POLICE ETC,

this is a known fake debt collector scam. They hacked some payday loan websites and have been calling people who paid the loan off.  From newer reports - they also have been calling those who never had Payday loans.


When they call back or if you call them - tell them you have already reported them from fraud...  They'll stop calling.

I just received a voice mail from a so called Officer Patrick Wilson. He said he was with US Investigation Bureau with the Crime Prevention Dept. and it was my best interest to call him back ASAP because of a legal action filed against me. He said he had my name, SS. He was a little hard to understand. He is from a foreign country.

I received a strange threatning voice mail from same person by the name Patrick Wilson saying that I owe some tax money from IRS and I needed to call back ugently if not then to hire a lawyer to represent me because they were going to ganish my pay check. I was put on hold for over 20 minutes. This is a total SCUM please be aware!!

I got a phone call from a Ashley Kim and when I called back it was Patrick Wilson on the machine. This is totally a scam they called like 3 months ago saying i had a payday loan that I didnt pay which I had paid 3 years prior to this call. She also called my mom my old job and my mother in law. She used a different name though. They threatend to put my mom and mother in law in jail if I didnt contact them within 24 hours. When I told them I just recntly had 2 background checks and it was not possible that i had any kind of case against me she said that she hadnt submitted the paper work and that if I paid 990.00 that it would dissapear. I told her I wouldnt send money until I saw all the paperwork which she refused to send me and then when i asked to speak to someone who I could actually understand she put Mr Wilson on the phone. He then began to berate me and call me names on the phone and cursed at me and then hung up. She then ended up calling me back and leaving a message saying to watch my back because they were coming for me. So if I were you put a fraud alert on your credit report and check your banks and put a alerts on that. Other then that its a fraud

yes a lsy called me today i think it was the same women who called me 3 months ago demanding money sayin if i didnt the police was coming to arrest me well i cursed her out real good so i dont think ill be hearing from her n ..the police or law enforement will nail these people

I recceived a complaint today filed from a citizen in the city I work.  When I called, they refused to send documentation of the loan and threatened to start legal action against my complaintant.  DO NOT GIVE any information over the phone to ANYONE!!!  Make them send you documentation of the money you owe.  I contacted this company and told them NOT to contact my complaintant again at home or work or I would start legal action against them!

I got a message from these people at work stating she is Seargant Phylis and that if I dont want to police to come get me at my place of employment or work to call them immediately.  I had this call before when I spoke to the same woman and she told me it was from a payday company that I did not pay.  I have taken out payday loans before and I have paid them.  I told her if I did not to please send me documents on who I owed the money too and why.  She stated she could not do that.  She wanted me to pay $990.00 and if not the police was going to pick me up.  Well that has been over 3 months ago and I guess they are trying it again.  I will NOT send them any money until I can get proof of what I owe them and if it was a payday loan the most I ever took was $300.00 so I dont owe them no $990.00.
