I keep getting calls day and night from this number and various other numbers. I am even woke up during the night from the incessant ringing. No messages are ever left. I am on the no call list but this is not having an impact on these calls. I cannot turn my ringer off because my mother is very ill with cancer and I am on call to be available in case I am needed. I need this harassment to stop.

Was instructed to call the number to receive a $7000 federal grant. Caller called from 585-300-5586.
Most likely a scam since I did not apply for a federal grant.

I got a call from 202-609-7003 saying that I won US$359,000 from Las Vegas Dream Foundation.  The gentleman gave me the claim # and the number to call.  So I did call Las Vegas Dream Foundation and the woman who answered the call told me to call Lloyds of America to insure the money because its a big check.  This is the number for lloyds of America phone number 646-257-3532.  This man wanted me to send over $5000.00 to Puerto Rico.  When I said why do I have to send the money outside America, he said because here in America its expensive.  So I said I am sorry I do not have that kind of money, why don't you take it from that check.  He said well we do not do that, he proceed to say put it on your credit card.  These people have several offices and they are trying by all means to get people.  It is fraud big time fraud.

I received a call from this number, 367-682-3701, and was told I had been chosen to receive a government grant of $7,000 that I wouldn't have to pay back. . I was to call this number, 202=470-6879, to verify my identity. I knew it was a scam, but called just to see what they were up to. I was told that I had the grant, but in order for the government to send it to me, I had to give them my credit card information for the deposit. I have a prepaid card with no money on it, so I went ahead and gave it to them. Then I was told that to prove who I was, I had to pay $190 , which would be refunded with my grant money. I told the guy, who by the way had an accent of course, that I didn't have any money, and I was given a code that I was suppose to call back with when I got the money.

Since they are now saying they are an agent for the government, is there not someone I can call to report them ?

I answered and a foreign lady told me I  have been chosen to receive $7,000 in grant money from the Government based on my taxes. Even though I know what a grant is, I asked her if I had to pay it back. She told me no.  She knew a lot of my personal information. I was waiting for her to ask for my social security number, which I would not have given. But she never did ask for my social.  She told me to call back and ask for her manager and give her a code she had given me. This sounds too good to be true and I might check it out. It's hard for me to believe, I would receive a grant out of the clear blue sky. She also told me I could not spend the money on gambling, drinking etc.....  This is weird.

Just got another call from this number.  Very annoying as they hang up every time I answer the phone.  How do you make it stop?

Recd browser message on my work phone said 2Nd alert - Your CES Credit Union Debit Card has been blocked.  Contact us immediately at 2024701010.  Do not have a CES Credit Union Debit Card; have a local bank debit card particular to the county that I live in.  Definitely a scam - please beward.  I work for a crime prevention association and there is a lot of this going around at all times.

Been receiving these calls for about a week- several times a day no messages ever left- really annoying- calls come morning and night- I am on the no call list, my number is unlisted, and I don't know how to make them stop.

3 calls in three days, including weekends, evenings.  No messages left.

Same thing has been happening with me - I get these calls from this number all day long!  My # is on the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY.  Apparently it's from a company called Landmark Telemarketing.  I also was a Post subscribed that cancelled last month.  I bet that is EXACTLY where they got the telephone number from.  We should get the word out - DON'T SUBSCRIBE TO THE POST!

I'm from Texas, never subscribed to the Post.  When I called the number back, message says they are "LandMark", basically a telephone service company.  Claim they will remove number if you leave a voice message.

but he got to ask me more question to make sure it me i said ok but let me ask you a  question before i continued...so the first question i ask him did everything went through he said yes sir, and i ask him was the claim number ok too he said yes sir, he said everything came up on the computer it has your name you phone now we need more information so we can update our system

Just got a call today from a 202 509 0677 number gave me a speech about how I won 350,000 dollars but they needed 3500.00 on delivery of check.  Said it was a Bank of America check and even gave me a Lloyds of London phone number to verify.

recieved the same call as jrs. different number to call 292 580 8096 federal trade cpm. he gave me a number for the foucdation 718 878 5454  they both told me thet needed 3,500 for insurance to sen the money. i told them i did not have that kind of meney, the man from the trade com.said the govt, might be able to help me with that. he would call them and call me back in a hour or so. he also gave me his work id% 2025808096. he called back but left no message which he said he would do. his name was arrom wallace.  i hop4e some one can chech this out and if a scam but a stop to it. thank you jgw

Three calls from this number in the past week.  No name appears on the caller ID, just the phone number.  No voice message is left.

I don't have a Washington Post newspaper subscription like others who have posted here, but I have managed to irritate a few creditors.  I suspect this phone number belongs to a debt collection agency.

got a call from 202-470-4020 claiming a winning of 250,000 and to send 3500.  person claimed to be working for the FTC.  Called FTC, they do not, nor does any government entity, get involved in prize winnings. becareful with this scam

A man that said his name was Joseph Sinclair  called an eldery female from this # advising that she had won a large sweepstakes and that she needed to call a Tom Bishop @ Random House @702-765-4524 in order to pay her 3,500 fee to have the money sent to her. The caller even stated that he would only make her pay half of that amount since she was a senior citizen.

Some Indian f***er with a heavy accent asked for someone who does not live at this number. When I said that he had the wrong number, the little prick got huffy and puffy and then hung up. When I called the number (202-470-0540) that was on my Caller ID back, the phone rang and rang, and no one ever picked it up.
