They called my Cell Number. Didn't take the call but called back later it was some Telemarketing Company. I selected a do not call option #1 when prompted.

If you wait till the announcement ends and you hear silence, press 9 - it is supposed to remove your number.

Block one number and they start using another. Added to my ITP black list for this number as well

I just answered all of their questions by pushing numbers that weren't valid options. After 5 questions it told me that I was being removed from their database and that I would not be receiving any more calls from them.

What freedom? We lost that a long time ago. Now they overrun our monestaries and burn our churches and throw you in jail if you say anything they don't like. I don't think our fathers fought and died for!!

DO NOT take the survey.  Every question they ask is used to pre-screen you for mail, e-mail or telephone solicitations.  Either answer adds you t a list.

No = Send me information on cable television and other related products and/or services.

Do you use a credit card?
No = My credit is too poor to get a credit card so spam me with all sorts of high interest credit and/or loan offers.

Definitely a recording from the start of pick up, a lady transfer you to a survey.  Pretty honest survey about if you use credit card, have cable tv... 10 questions.  After finishing the call transfers to a real person who supposedly takes your name to put on your free all inclusive boarding passes to the Bahamas.  They don't ask for any personal information aside from zip code and best number to call you back.
They don't even ask to verify the spelling of your name.  i have a pretty hard to spell correctly type of name.
Then a recording kicks in instructing you to verify the spelling of your name on www.surveyclaim.com, entering the zip code and phone number you told the representative.  Then they claim to email you a confirmation.
Usually I never believe in free anythings, that sound too good to be true, because ther's no free lunch, always has a catch.
The only reason I answered the call was because it's on a work phone and I thought it could be a potential client.
We'll see if they call back tomorrow, like they said.

Heh, that information is helpful. I didn't want to call them back until I found out who they were, and if it's some survey thing, I'm not interrested. The part I find stupid is that they never called my home phone, they only called my track phone where it costs minutes.... the same track phone I only have on about once a month.

Once I know it's a spam call, I angrily answer " Who the F*** is this?".The calls stop immediately.

Recording telling me to hold, then transfer to another recording telling me to complete a survey and get 2 free cruise tickets to bahamas or bermuda, not sure, was hanging up at that point.

I received call from this 202-495-7123 on my cell , i did not pick up as it is unknown number. I searched on web whose number it is. I called from another number to check. I get recorded voice about some promotions,I just terminated the call.

theses people have been calling me for months and I have told them to stop calling each time they call.  If I could find them I would get them locked up of harassment.

They called me last night and this morning.  I called back just now.  Got a recorded message: "If you do not wish to receive future calls for promotions, please press 1."  I pressed "1", they disconnected.  We'll see what happens.

I answered, Woman said she was transferring me, may have been a recording.  Second definite recording claimed to be a "survey" that would send me tickets for a cruise to Bermuda.  I listened until it instructed me to "press 1 to receive my free tickets."  They are now blocked.

Despite saying they are a "survey" they are certainly marketing something.

yea let's go after them, and if you don't want to this makes us all stupid Americans. because it's incredibly hard to hang up the phone or simply ignore the call when this number shows up on your phone.  Or you can program your company's phone system to drop the call when it sees that number calling. This would apply to businesses only, but you can also have your phone company block phone numbers.  If you have revenge on your mind, good for you.

I got this number several times 1-202-495-7123. Is there a way to charge them for calling me? Can I install via my provider a certain charge for my time as a service provider for telemarketers? Say something in the range $50 to $10000 a min for such unsolicited calls and then they call me and talk hours and hours:)
