just got a strange phone call and although I kept repeating who is this? he did not respond just speaking about getting back to him with a threat if I did not. Really?! I know the IRS don't work that way.

I too began to receive these harassing phone calls today.  First was a message, Office Adams requesting me or my attorney to call him back.  We were to take this message seriously and he could only say if we didn't was good luck, blah blah blah.  I called him back & he asked for me to verify if I was my husband.  I said, "I don't know who that is or why you are calling this number. Please state your company and business."  He got argumentative & accused me of not being my husband.  He did divulge it was regarding an IRS issue, that there was a warrant out for his arrest.  He hung up on me. I called him back about an hour later, lowered my voice & claimed to be my husband returning his call.  He said I sounded like a lady & was a liar.  I bombarded him with questions & he just kept accusing me of being a lady.  I told him if he was really an IRS agent, he was welcome to set up an appointment to come to my home to see my d*ck.  That threw him & he started YELLING at me, "there's a warrant for his arrest" repeatedly.  I shouted back & said you are nothing but a scammer DO NOT CALL BACK HERE.  Same dang number called about an hour ago & left the same voice mail as the first one....

This is a scam - please refer to the website irs.gov and the article under the "News" section on the home page "IRS Warns of Telephone Scam"  - the article suggests you report these calls to the Treasury Inspector General of Tax Administration.  UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD YOU GIVE THEM ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION!!!!

received call on jan 23rd .  voice mail answered.  he left threatening message.  I called back and he asked if I was so and so and I told him that was my sister. (shes married and has not lived here for 30 years)  the only mail we get here with my sisters name on it is some state farm advertising.  could they be getting info from such as that.  I told him he wasn't too smart because the fed govt has more info on us than incorrect addresses.  he said he wished me luck as the situation unfolds on me.  was a little scary but I knew he was just digging for info.  

He called my house this evening. Told him I've recorded his message and will be reporting him to the federal govt. he hung up on me. How do I report this fraud to the govt? Eon Morgan 202-503-4966. Called himself an officer and gave me his license #83321.

Called from 716-242-5936 as well.  Told me he has my address and is coming to my house.  Told  him I really hope he does because I have an over abundance of bullets that I would love to put in his head.  What a moron

I RECEIVED A CALL TODAY AT 9.57 AM, IT WAS A THREATENING CALL AND I CALLED MY ACCOUNTANT HE SAID
NO ONE CALL FROM IRS AND USALLY THEY SEND A LETTER. HE SAID THAT IT IS A SCAM.

Got a call around 6:30 in the morning from IRS saying he was calling from Adam Scott's office and asked we call him back or our attorney to call back or there will be consequences. I see the trail here. the number that called was 202 503 4966

Got called at 6:30 am, didn't pick, the caller stated his name is officer Scott and treat that if we nor our attorney don't call back will be a problem

The caller ID is Washington DC.

Just received call from 202 503-4966..Did not answer. My voice mail picked up and it was threatening
message. The man said he was Officer Adam Squad, I missed the first part of the message,  wanted me or my lawyer to call him right away or else. If he didn't hear from me, good luck.   This is scary.  I looked up the number online and got these results.  Thank you.  Now I know this is truly a scam.   How do we stop these calls?

i called him back and told him that he is thief. he got mad and started swearing. I laughed at his stupidity.

Got a call with no message left.

Same type of message, and it is fraudulent.  Wish I could find this joker passing out threats, number can be blocked so if received more than once have your phone provider assist in blocking this number for you.

Caller said he was from Internal revenue Service; said if I did not return his call, he wished me luck.

Left voice messages with heavy British accent saying that there is a deficiency in my Last year IRS returns.  Initially I ignored.
He left several voice messages.  Urged and threatened me to call him  immediately since its time sensitive if I try to  ignorelegal action will be taken. Phone numbers 202-503-4966/209-320-1389. I called my CPA immediately and he reassured me that it is a scam and told me that IRS will never contact individuals like this and I looked up these phone numbers and came to know the scam. Thanks for sharing . DON'T FALL FOR THESE CROOKS!!

Ditto ...... same as the two previous posts.    When I told him flat out ...... I DON'T BELIEVE YOU .... that kind of set him off and he mumbled something (very heavy accent and very hard to understand) about I would when they showed up to arrest me, then he hung up on me.

Received a threaten phone call. Stating I committed fraud on my income taxes. Claimed his name was Ian Morgan.

It sounded like a scam so I peppered him with open ended questions on the specifics of the allegations, which all he could say is I underpaid my 2011 taxes. He became more aggressive and threatened me with arrest, which I told him to send them over.
