Was told I was getting arrested.  Then told I needed to pay $2000.00 fine.  When I said I didn't have it they asked how much I could pay then hung up when I questioned them.

I received a call today 01/09/2012 from a woman claiming to be Lynne Taylor a LT. from the FDA. She stated I was facing felony arrest charges and it could be settled today if I send $4500 via western union to the Dominican Republic today. She wanted me to call her from the western union office and she would guide me through what forms to fill out. The phone number she called from is 323-622-8991. When I called her back and confronted her stating I had contacted my attorney, she hung up on me. Beware of this scam.

just received a call today from Karen Thomas with the FDA.  Her number 347-767-2144.  Left a message on my phone hoping that I have a nice day and that she had a search warrant and arrest warrant for me.  I called her back and spoke with her for a few seconds and then told her that I would be contacting my attorney which is when she said that I can talk to her agents when they arrive at my house and hung up.  Funny thing is why would she tell me she had warrants for me over the phone?  I thought that the DEA investigated RX?

This same lady contacted me.  The call came up on my caller ID as from Washington.  She sounded very professional and told me that a package from the Dominican Republic had been confiscated in Customs with my name and information.  She asked me if I knew that it was illegal to purchase medications online.  I told her that I had researched the company I'd dealt with and that they were licensed and had what appeared to be a legitimate web-site.   She said that the FDA had reason to believe that I had purchased drugs illegally and that they had a warrant out for my arrest.  I said that I was unaware that I had done anything illegal and that I would be willing to cooperate in any way.  She said that there were agents in my area that would be coming to my home to press charges and arrest me.  I said "OK". Is there anything I can do?".  She said that they had what was called a "second chance" option for first time offenders and that she had the authority to request that option if I so desired.  She said that if I accepted that offer, I would no longer be permitted to purchase any medication online or through the mail, and that in the future I would be required to take all prescriptions from my doctor to a local pharmacy directly.  She said that it would involve a fine, and that once it was paid, all charges would be dismissed.  I asked what the fine was and she told me that it would be $6250.  I said that I would most likely take the "second chance" option, but that I wanted to discuss the matter with my husband first. She said that I was free to contact my husband but that I had to be aware that if I wanted to involve him that he could be incriminated for the crime and could also possibly face charges of co-conspiracy.  She said that she would give me ten minutes to decide and call her back.  I did contact my husband.  He called his attorney who informed him that this was a widespread scam.  He researched the name and number online and found stories similar to mine.  She called back and when she learned that I had contacted my husband and that he had contacted our attorney, she hung up on me.  No agents ever came to my house. My husband was very nice to me about the matter - I felt so stupid and gullible - but she was pretty smooth - at least at first!

This person is calling impersonating an FDA official in order to phish for information to use in theft of identity.  I actually work for the FDA, and our agency does not call and threaten or demand information over the telephone (govt agencies love paper).

Ya u r right. Got a call from this number demanding money and if I did not send it they had a warrant for my arrest and a search warrant for my home. Or I could do a money transfer to them and pay the fine of $3000 to stop the warrant.  When I accused the women "Officer Lynn Taylor" of fraud she became angry saying that she was going through with the warrant then hung up the phone in my face.  When I called back she had a man answer to say she was refusing my call.  So I called him out for fraud and he just became quiet and then let his accent change his disguised voice.

I googled this lady today, because she called me this mourning, said she works for the FDA .
She said she had a warrant for my arrest and a search warrant for my home. She also told me that there are agents close by my  house all she had to do was call them and they would be there to arrest me. I kept irritating her by asking questions. She wanted 4500 dollars to make the charges go away.I said no I can't come up with that in 15 minutes. She hung up called me back wanted to know if I could get at least 1500 dollars, I said no , She told me I wasn't taking her serious, so she was making the call , and the agent's would be at my house within 5 minutes. I said o.k. I'll be ready My attorney will be here , and I've already contacted the local sheriff so he'll be here too. He's intrested in finding out what is going on, because as the Sheriff he hasn't herd a thing about this. She hung up on me . Hasn't called me back and no agents showed up. The first time she called I ask for her name. She said her name is Lynn Taylor with the FDA. Her phone number is 609-431-6946 ext: 1824, but the 3rd time she called she said this is officer Laden. It was the same lady she just got her names mixed up. I hope some one can track these guy's down. I turned all my info over to the police. Who know's
