I just received a phone call they been calling me for 3 days straight saying they could send it theu fed ex tomorrow but I have to send 200 dollars thru green dot soo this is a scam or what ???? Damn I was all excited to buy a new car hahaha what a joke i figured it was to good to be true

I also just was on the phone with an easterner. Telling me I was getting $10,000 education grant,in a one time lifetime grant. As I was speaking to her I looked this up. Thank you all !!!! I almost fell for it.I simply read her the site and told her I was ending the call.

Thank God for Google, I too was called with the same free 10k grant speech, they wanted a debit card or bank card or even a gift card, I would not give this info, she than said that I could go to the nearest western union. But I had to call this number right away to still be considered, 202-241-3817 and give this ID# LR1114, once again if it is to good tobe true it probably is, this waoman also had an african accent and sounded as if she was on a cell phone. I have been unemployed for six months now. And it is apparent that they found my info from a job search site. I gave these scammers nothing but an address, which is public info anyway.

Just received the same call with a guy who had a very heavy Indian accent and a noisy background. He said I had been selected for a $10,000 personal grant but I had to call the call back number 202.241.5118 to verify. Then it was alady with the same noisy background and the same Indian accent telling me I has to pay a one time fee of $200 that's when I told her, I see what their doing.. it's a scam and then she hangs up on me..smh

Yeah I love when they call me, and say I will get a $10,000.00  grant.  They say they are with the government and I can use the money any way I want.  Then they want to verify my information, yet they do not have my address, age, place of birth or SS#.   Funny I file my taxes yearly and if it was the government then they would have all that information..  Yes this is a phishing call and scam. best thing to do is turn the table on them.  I asked for a call back number and the gal said first I need to verify your information. I told her once again the government has my information and if your real give me your phone number to call back.  She hung up lmao..

Today: 10/15/13 the number was 202-241-3765. Total scam. Does anyone know if they can retrieve info from the phone lines? Back Acct. # etc is you stay on long enough?

I too received this call. An Eastern Man names Mike Carfield. Said he was at 200 Independence avenue "next to the White House" Said I was going to receive $10,200 by "Direct Deposit or Reloadable Plastic card". Just like everyone else that posted prior, he said the money needed to be used for anything except for alcohol, gambling or drugs. The call came form number 202-697-9205 Caller ID - District of Columbia. He called me at 3:02 pm and again at 5:55pm when I rolled him to voice mail the first time. I could hear lots of other people in the background saying the same things as he was.

As I was on the phone with him, another unknown number called me reading a script of course, saying the same stuff the first caller said. This is a scam. The website I gave in the last post is a site to register for free grants, and that is why they ask if your married, single, kids, employed or unemployed..LOL..this is a SCAM..do not give out your checking info. and do not send any money western union or money gram...period....this needs to stop now

An unknown number called me today, said I have been pre-approved for 10k to pay off bills or student loans, he knew my address and telephone number of course. Asked me how I wanted to receive the funds, I advise direct deposit. I gave wrong account num tho. told me to call the number listed below to give my money conformation number and to not give it out to anyone. I just question the African accents, and why is the same person answering that number. If we needed to call in to confirm it, shouldn't it be like a call center type of thing. Anyways, the new guy wanted me to verify all the info again, and told me to call him back. I kept mentioning about fraud, he gave me a website address and to check it out and to call him back!! This is totally a scam...

I just gotoff the phone with the "Human Health Service Tower" 202 657 6596 who offered me a no payback government grant of $10,000.00 and could have it as early as tomorrow. They gave me a code to call back with, and then wanted to verify my phone number. This has all seemed to strange to me, so doing more research, I found the BBC had nothing to report except they graded them with a F (with a A+ to F system), and then found this page. HHST is suppose to call me back again and I will ask them many questions which will surelly intise them to hang up and hopefully loose my number.                                                                I hope anyone who has delt with or hears from these joker's the wisdom to walk away. The funniest (meaning sad) thing about it to me, is for a scam organization, their address is in the right location "Washington D. C."

Just got off the phone right now with one of these guys. This is the third time they have called me. Oddly this time they have called me from a number that isn't complete. The number is (564) 546-412. That's how it shows on my phone history. Hope this helps
