I get this call as well DAILY, the ID is AICR.  I believe that is the American Institute for Cancer Research. A call from 202-507-7331 that reads "cellular call" on the id always follows or proceeds this number.  I believe that number is also from the same place.

Person says associated with American Institute for Cancer Research. About lunch time here.  Appears to be a cell phone. Would not accept that I did not want the call.

I too got calls from NICR.. I'd seen it on my caller ID several times. I answered it last night when they called. The woman said she wasn't asking for money. Instead she was going to send me some kind of "kit". I gathered it was for me to spread the word about?? I didn't let her get any further. I told her to NOT send me any "kit" and to NOT call me again

Received three calls from 202-607-2603 and 2602 and 2615 all listed to AICR: American Institute for Cancer Research which is a "bogus" charity.  What a pain-in-the-neck!

If it's the Am Inst of Cancer Research and they want to solicit a donation, why don't they speak when one answers the phone, though?

This phone number shows up at least four times a week on my caller ID.  Whenever I answer, there is no one on the line.  Calls begin as early as 8:30 a.m. or will come in as late as 9:00 p.m.  Annoying?  You bet!

I never pick up and the phone goes to the answering machine after two rings. I than receive this recorded message"if you wish to make a phone call, please hang up") etc. This happens every day.

Get a call from this number two or three times a week.  They never leave a message.  If I pickup after three rings, they hangup.

Calls received at least every other day and sometimes MORE frequently since Jan. 2009.  Caller ID says AICR 202-607-2601.  Google states American Institute for Cancer Research.  Never answered and no message ever left.

I receive this phone call at least once a day but have never answered because I didn't know who it was.  On the caller ID it comes up as AICR.  Just checked it out and it is the American Institute for Cancer Research.

We do not pick up numbers we do not know.  We have received many calls from what our caller ID says is AICR at 1-202-607-2601.  When the answering machine picks up the do not leave a message.  this began around mid Jan 2009 and continues through today Feb 15th 2009.

A call from this number happened mid-morning.   I answered, and they hung up.

calls every couple days-hangs up when answered. We should all call them multiple times a day and do the same back. Tie up their phone line!

They have been calling me several times a day for months. Never a message. I Googled AICR and get the American Institute of Cancer Research. I'm suspecting they're looking for money or someone to mail out neighborhood requests for donations.
