They called me 4 times in 2 days. I call back to see who they are. A recorded msg says thank you for calling BCS. Like a person would know what BCS stands for before they call. I will block this number. Most of my calls are this kind of call.

I have explained to these people I'm unemployed right now and they keep harassing me and calling me until late hours of the night. I have told them that once I start getting paid again in November from my new job, I will start payments again.

Well I answred a call from this number. The person was hesitant to ask for me, had to say hello 2x. Then they asked my last name. So I asked who's calling? I repeated who's calling? after 15 seconds of silence I hung up. I called the number back 5 min. later and it was BCR collections. Interesting they have my name and I don't have any debt to be collected.

These grave diggers call under several numbers-the BCR Debt Collections Agency-who want blood from a stone-and your first born child! They would harass own mother if told to by their minimum wage paying overlord masters. How can someone call this a legitamate job-calling people and bothering them, wasting their time, over some unfounded claims, or debts? I pick up the line and no ONE is even there.

Got a call from them today, they asked for Katherine and I said who is this? He said Jim and I said who are you with and he said I need to talk to Katherine on a person matter. He would not tell me who he was with so I hung-up the phone. If someone cannot say who they are working for then I do not want to talk to them.....I sure am not going to tell you if you have the person you are looking for or not!!!
Caller ID shows: T1-03 Colo 202-607-2807

My phone does not ring, my phone says I missed a call....I think this is the "spoof" everybody is talking about. Eventually these people are in for a rude awakening....Bravo to the gentleman that captured the attention of an "official person" (for lack of better terminology) to take a look at this !MANY THANKS!

It is most definitely a collection agency. They were calling my grandparents, asking for me, then hanging up. I called them back. It took putting me on hold and ten more minutes to FINALLY to tell me who they were. I owe money to Wells Fargo because I overdrafted wayyy too much a few months ago. Whoops. I still have yet to pay it and they call my phone 2 times a day.

If you get a call from this number, try option number 3 in this stuff I got from the FCC's website:
Tips for Consumers
* Don?t give out personal information in response to an incoming call. Identity thieves are clever ? they often pose as representatives of banks, credit card companies, creditors, or government agencies to get people to reveal their account numbers, Social Security numbers, mother?s maiden names, passwords and other identifying information.
* If you get an inquiry from a company or government agency seeking personal information, don?t provide it. Instead, hang up and call the phone number on your account statement, in the phone book, or on the company?s or government agency?s website to find out if the entity that supposedly called you actually needs the requested information from you.
* Please let the FCC know about ID spoofers by calling 1-888-CALL-FCC or filing a complaint at fcc.gov/complaints.

They call and would not tell me what the call was in reference to. Keep saying it is a personal matter. I told the lady I have no personal matter with them and they should not call me back.

We have caller id but when they call it says error. The debt they are calling about is not ours it is my Fathers and he passed away this past spring and left no money, he had been in a nursing home.

get a phone or phone service that allows phone caller block. my panasonic home phone allows you to save the number from the bozos and put it on your caller block list. I get a short ring, they get a busy signal every time. I smile when I hear the short ring. one call and then they're gone forever. aloha y'all

Important: Congress has passed a law that makes it unlawful to spoof telephone numbers. It's called the Truth in Caller ID Act. While there are legitimate circumstances in which Caller ID may receive incorrect information without intent to deceive/defraud, a debt collection agency cannot plauibly claim to not be attempting to deceive when it transmits bogus Caller ID information.
BCR has been, I believe, playing games with me, using half a dozen bogus numbers to deceive. I am including each of those attempts in my complaints to the Federal Trade Commission in the hope that when they do get caught, they will pay a heavy fine.
The irony: I don't have any debts whatsoever. They have no hope of collecting even a dime, but a very good chance of getting in trouble with the law, since I am documenting everything that happens.

Talked to them today, real A**les, I asked to remove my number and the dude just started asking if I was Melissa? Jenni? jackie? Alice? Like he would have guessed for an hour.... psycho.

They keep calling my work number.

Whitepages.com says it is a cell phone calling from Washington, DC area. When I called it back it says it is "BCR" and our account specialists are busy right now, please hold the line and the next available one will assist you.
My guess would be a bill collector. I do get a lot of calls for someone who no longer has my phone number. Some people who call think I am lying about not knowing who they are asking for.
