Another illiterate shill who is having a tough time extorting on the phone. "Appearance ticket"? For a debt that is SOL in every state?

HA. Now we see why you aren't qualified to do anything but scam on the phone and the web. Does your mom know you commit fraud for a living, or did you deliver an "appearance ticket" to her too?

I thought this was a scam until earlier today when I was faced with an appearance ticket. Now I have to go to court over this loan from 2000...I got served at work now I'm probably going to loose my job.

Got 3 calls from this compay this week, didn't answer any of them and they left no messages...other than a few small items on my crdit cards (which are all current) I have no outstanding debt on anything, so I have no idea why they would be calling (bothering) me.

This is a criminal extortion ring operating out of India. ABC News released an investigative report on it in June. The FTC has indicted one of its ringleaders for criminal fraud:

http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/phantom-debt-co ... 16512428&page=1

http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2012/08/bgm.shtm

In the meantime, you are going to have to do whatever you can to protect yourself. That includes letting them know they are running a scam and are reporting them to the authorities.

Just checked my voicemail and received a similar message saying fraud was linked to my SSN.  I think the woman said her name was Ford.  I began thinking my SSN was stolen.  Anyway, thanks to this post thread, I know it is a scam.

I received a call from Attorney Jennings today.  He really had me going there for a second.  He was fishing for more information and playing on everything I gave him.  I hope they call again so I can unleash the beast!  :)  Either that or I'll have a little fun at their expense.

please forward any complaints about threats of a lawsuit , arrest, or being "served" to the New York State Attorney General by calling 716-853-8404.   These would be false threats.  Check with your state to see if they are licensed to collect in your state or have paid your state's bond.   Please save any recordings where legal in your state.

This is a payday loan 3rd party collector that calls themselves an "investigator". They threaten contacting your employer, harrassing family members even having you arrested - all of which are illegal under federal and state laws. They do not give you their company name, addrerss and if you ask for you to speak with your attorney (even if you do not have one) they will not accept that information. They are a collection company pretending to be something they are not - also illegal. Even if you owe the debt, or can't remember, do as I just did and report the to the Federal Trade Commision using the following site:

http://www.consumerfraudreporting.org/cfr.php?URL=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ftc.gov

Remember do not be frightened by these con artists just report them. Finally check the statute of limitations on debt collections in your state, use this site:

Got this message today from "Mitchell Jennings" who said he was working in conjunction with a nearby county (not County X law enforcement or anything specific).  He left a message addressed to someone I've never heard of (Ben) and said he needed to talk to me (assuming I was Ben) about 2 charges against me in his office, then gave me his number and a case number.   Yeah, I figured it was a scam so I checked it out, and of course, it it.  I have never applied for a payday loan, nor have I done any recent transaction that would have provided any agency with any information... I suspect he is just getting a phone list, or even dialing randomly, knowing that my area code encompasses certain counties.  I expect he would then try to badger me into making some sort of payment.

I have not and probably won't call him back, but the next time he calls will be his last!

Mitchell Jennings called me too.. Apparently I have a fraud case against me for a payday loan I didn't even have.  This is a total scam and by law, creditors are not allowed to threaten in any way.. and saying that an arrest and fraud charges are coming unless a debt is paid is a threat.. Call them and ask for the name of the payday loan and then let them know you are going to call the loan agency directly.. They will immediately get defensive and rude with you because they don't want you to call knowing its a scam.. Mitchell Jennings is one of these people and so is Deborah Smith.. You should question anyone who calls you saying that they are a detective or an investigator.. They will say they are going to file a lawsuit with the county you live in and they know its your county because you put that information into the online application that was denied..

They are calling me about one of my friends debts.  He listed me as a reference.  Apparantly they are even resorting to saying things like "I'm with _______ county" and "_______ is under investigation and your name came up during this investigation."

Nice try scam artists!
