Yea I got the same speel from a women with an indian accent ( HAZEL WALKER)... $250 deposit for a grant... Where they do that at... Everybody should know a money gram is a one way transaction...

I recieved the same call yesterday.   The "speel" was the same,, western union $250 sent and I would get $7800 back..  This is exactly the same message..  My women was Kim Leon..  

Someone need to report this to the Federal Goverment.   I am so glad others are posting this information and helping others NOT get scammed.

Wow! my sis just received the same call from a lady named Christy Taylor with a Philippine accent... All the same deal!! I knew she was lying, cause why would the Government wanna just help us LOL!

I just got a call private call from a lady named 'Susan cooper' She also had a Philippine accent, so, probably the same person. She said she was with the government and said all the same things that was said to John, probably word for word. She gave me the same number and the same details. You can just spell the scam.

I received a call from a woman with a Philippine accent who said her name was Gloria Kelly.  She said she was with the US Federal Grant Service for Human Health and Services.  She informed me I was selected for a $7800.00 grant to use for home improvements, buying a vehicle, or starting my own business.  She told me I was to proceed to the nearest Western Union with three things.  1. A photo ID 2. My cell phone to call this number when i got the 202-621-0074. 3. A 250.00 deposit for the grant so they could verify it was me at the western union.   I was to call the number before i entered the western union and get all the information for the security deposit.  Also i was not to tell the Western Union the amount of the grant money i was going to receive as Western Union would take a commission and tax on it for such a large transaction.  Little did she know while she was talking to me i was looking up information on this call, and came to find out that my suspicions were correct and she was trying to scam me. Hope this helps anyone else who receives this call.
