Our business receives daily calls from this number (202-652-4583, WASH DC). Upon answering, there is no response. If we allow the call to go to the answering machine, they do not leave a message. Called the number back and got a recording about fund raising. The message states, "to be removed" from our call list, press 0 and enter your ten digit phone #. Needless to say, I did not enter our number. I just hung up.

Follow up ... Called the number again (202-652-4583, WASH DC). Message states that their business is called "Strategic Fund Raising" (www.strategic fundraising.com).

I've had at least three calls from this number over the last several days. The phone rings. I answer: "Hello?" Nobody responds. I hang up, assuming it's telemarketing or tele-fundraising.

This number calls me three to four times a day and never leaves a message.  Who is this?

You actually should give them your number because they are probably complying with a law that requires them to remove your number when demanded

It was from the Republican National Commitee.  They wanted support, etc.

202-652-4583 is a fund raising outlet for the G.O.P
Either you are a registered Replubican OR registered as an Independent voter.
Either way, they are asking for contributions to the general funding of the GOP.
Since Strategic Fundraising is directly affiliated with the GOP, you can rest assured that if you fill out the Do Not Call Form then they will take you off the list.

I just went to the website strategicfundraising.com as Judith mentioned above and took myself off the call list.  they called me 9x's today.  Thanks for the info!!!

Strategic Fundraising (from a cell phone!).  Asking for $$$ for politics.  Although political groups are exempt from junk calls, this place has a "good neighbor" policy allowing opt-outs.

Don't you base your votes on the candidates who have a similar philosophy to your own, so they can represent you?  It has nothing to do with whether they make annoying phone calls.

Keep getting calls from this number and no one is on the line.  After about 15 to 20 seconds the "caller" hangs up.  Caller ID shows to be National Repulican Party.

I have been getting calls from (202) 652-4583. This number was calling me a few times a day, even on saturday. They hang up when I answer! I try to call it back, then when the call goes though, they hang up right away. Also shows up with a 1 in front of the number sometimes. I'm not sure how they got my number, I never gave my number out to any political organizations. If they ever talk to me, I am going to tell them to "GO TO HELL"

just got call from this number. An american asked for someone. I said, "Nope, not here"......I've read 2 things: republican marketers or Global Crossings (a phone company).   either way, I didnt know who they were talking about.   I must admit, they were polite and ENGLISH speaking.......so not that bigga deal (to me).

This is a company called Strategic Fundraising.  If you go to their website and fill out the DO NOT CALL form there, they will remove your number from their calling lists in 24 to 48 hours in compliance with their good neighbor policy.  Website:  www.strategicfundraising.com  Go to the "Contact Us" on the right end of the menu bar across the top, click once and a four choice pop up menu comes up with the "Do Not Call Form" on the bottom.  Click that, and it will take you to the Do Not Call form page, where you enter your phone number, last name, and a validation code box to make certain you're a real human that wants your number off of their calling lists.  They annoyed me today by calling my cell phone and waking me up (I work an off shift).  I answered, said hello, and heard nothing but chatter in the background.  I waited a few seconds, then as I was hanging up the phone, I heard someone finally come on and say hello, but I was really annoyed by then and hung up anyway.

Three or four times a day, this number calls.  I do not answer.  This call is unsolicited.  I have the do not call contract, but maybe political campaigns are exempt from being decent and polite.
