i received a call claiming i would get  a $7500 gov grant.... I let her talk, she had my mailing address. She gave me an approval code and number to call (202)657-4335... today or tomorrow after 10am. so i called the man who answered had a strong foriegn accent, i asked what gov agency I could confirm this with. (my red flag had already gone up with the woman) he was verbaly short and said "call me tomorrow". i again asked if i could confirm this with my local gov office. he said "yaya sure whatever" and hung up. please be cautious

Heavy Indian  accent pretending there was a government grant available to me for 300.00 at western union..

I got called like  today  my  uncle  is   the. Head of the new mexico  fbi field offices and he's been informed  they are using back tracer numbers from out of the country and using random numbers from the internet to scam folks if anyone  gets these calls  hang up or tell them the  FBI is already on its way

Got the same phone call if so many people are getting these calls why can't they be stopped they can find us but we can't find them what's up with that

Got a call from 9377633343. Told me to call 2026576476 to sleek w sup. to get the money. So y'all say it's a scam but what are they getting from these calls? I don't understand what they are benefiting from these calls.

Now that I'm awake and have my glasses on, I see that it's from "withheld"!!!  I avoided these calls for the last couple of days!  The "Indian" sounding only asked me to confirm my B/Date.  Last week I was being spammed by calls that I wouldn't answer.  As soon as my vm would pick up, it would call back.  I finally, after about 10 back to back calls, I answered and it was from a machine!!!  The may have gotten my address and stuff from AT&T bill or something???

I received a phone call from a blocked phone number. An Indian lady named Rose Taylor on the line and told me I was one of the 1700 people that was chosen to receive a grant for$7800.  But to receive it I needed to go to a CVS pharmacy store to buy a green dot pre paid card to receive the grant money. Then she told me I need to deposit $150 to receive the grant money. Then she gave me this phone# (202)738 1511. To call this number and give them hEr name and my information when I buy the green dot card with the deposit in it. That it was the only way I can receive it. Then I called just the phone number just to see if it was true and the guy that answered barely spoke English I couldn't understand him at all. Then he got frustrated and ended up hanging up on me because I was asking too many questions. I didn't fall for it but almost did. Please someone needs to report these people asap!! It's a huge scam!!!

I got a call from a blocked number yesterday, called about 4 times at  work, finally answered when I got home. Was a very heavily Indian accented man telling me that I had been selected among 1700 others in my area to receive $7500 free from the government because I paid my bills on time and had no criminal history. I never got as far as others posted on here. I told the man our gov doesn't give that much away for free,without tax claims and payback as he stated what's the catch? He got rude and asked me again how I'd like to receive my money, I said if you have my info, put it in the mail, I'll believe it when I see it!! Please people don't fall for this scam!!

i received a call from unavailable and answered, they told me i was chosen by the gov't to received a 7500 loan and they told me i had to pay 290 and i believed them i sent it and then they told me i had to pay another 650 for my state taxes and they would send the money back to me and I reported them to the fbi and western union flagged the number and the names

They call me saying that i was approve for a 7500 gov grant and give me an approval #the #is KA099, they told me to go to Walmart Western Union with 290.00 and that i would get it right back, instead of receiving 7500.00 i would be receiving 7790.00. Then i went online and found janet story and saw that it was simular,  that is wrong what they do to people. THEY NEED TO BE STOPPED!!!!  THANX JANET. P.S i get 20to40 calls a day, and i hope they STOP!!!

Hello everyone, today had received a phone call from an unavailable number it was the fifth one this week on my cell. This last time I had decided to answer.  It was a Indian man trying to speak English to me but was very very bad at it. I could barely understand his talk.  He wanted to confirm a few things like your living address your phone number & your date of birth.  After that was said supposedly from a representative of the u.s. government.  He then give a confirmation number and a phone number to call so I can receive a grant 7,500 and also tells me I do not have to pay this money back because I was chosen. I called the number 2026576938 and a woman had answered the phone.  Her name was ms. Parker, she had asked me if I had a confirmation number to say to her. She spoke English quite well but I had given her the confirmation number and with that she had brought up my information she had told me to go to a western Union so I could receive 7,500 dollars from the u.s government but also to do so I had to give out 289.00 dollars.  Ms. Parker had said this was for a security deposit but I would receive that amount back plus the 7,500 from the government.  I told her I dont have the money to do such thing but she had told me that they can put it on hold for 15-20 days and give her a call when I get the money. Give me a call back when you are at the western Union and I will talk you through the process. You have a good day.  Then we hung up from one another.  I totally think this is a scam. Dont be a fool and fall for this.

We need to hang these creeps,  same bs to me,   this should be dealt with by our gov,   since its them they're mocking!     Lost my house and truck,  like the government wouldn't notice that!

I received a call from 718-307-6250 saying I had been chosen along with about 1,700 people from my area to receive a $7,500 government grant, all I had to do was call 202-684-6935.  They said all I had to do was go to the Western Union & pay a $290 Security Deposit that I would get back within 20 minutes along with my $7,500 grant money, & the lady said that she would stay on the line with me for that 20 min. until I received all of my money.  I seriously thought about doing it, definitely need the money.  So when I got off the phone I googled to research this grant & this is the site I found. They were definitely India accents that I spoke with, & like the person above, I thought if this is a government grant why are the people that are calling me not american?

I got a call today they stated because I had good credit and no criminal history I qualified for 7500........:( glad I checked the web before I did anything else

Received a call stating that I was one of the lucky ones to receive $7500 in grant money.

I got the same call today thinking it was my lucky day, until they asked for me to pay 290dollars and I would get back the 280 back in 15mins....then I called my mother to let her know and thank god she talk me out of it because I was on my way to pay.....they sounded so convincing to me. Just be careful and don't fall for the trap that I almost fell into. And FYI they did sounded Indian with a heavy accent first number that called me was this 530-559-1657 and the other number I had to call was 202-407-9059 and when I called that number he had me on hold for 7 Mins and was telling me what to do. Once again it's a scam everyone

I got a call today saying I was selected to receive 7500 dollars for a government grant they used two different numbers so far their been four different names involved in this scam .they told me to send them 289.00 and I would get it back if sent western union

I got the same call from 530-559-1657, informing me that the government has selected me among 1700 other people to receive a grant of $7500. I tried to call back the same number, and the line was disconnected. they have also gave me another number to call back on and give them the code they provided me, and that number is 202-657-4439. So beware

for real and i am glad i did.my advice is "IF IT SOUNDS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE" it probably is a scam.

Got a call from these people offering me a loan for $7500.00 if  I sent them money. I asked them when does free grant cost money. They became very defensive and rude.

The number 202-657-4439 called me and told me that I had been selected to recive 7500.00 for any kind of grant. When I asked him for his email address he became very defensive. This is a scam do ont do.
