I got the cakk too and they told me to call 202-803-4816. What jerks to do this to people!!!!

I received the same unknown caller. I then called 202-657-4861 and listened to what she had to say. She said go to Walmart and pay $290. I told her I wanted no parts of her scam and hung up.

its such a ponzy scheme! lol These literally begged me to give them a hundred and sixty dollars... THEN they were telling me that was gonna give them a hundred and sixty dollars..lol A guy by the name of William Jones tried so hard to get my money but its not gonna happen

My friend got scammed from this number.  Its hard to find actual proof of people who fell for these kind of robbery, usually when you google these things you just find forums saying people think its a fraud because blah blah blah.  I actually witnessed a close friend fall for this.  I spent the whole day with her in the car showing her these kinds of posts, sites, ect proving its a scam, but alas, she did it anyways.  Sometimes the promise of a bigger payout is enough for people to throw away intellect and common sense.  She was such a smart girl in high school.  I now truly believe that college education does not do a thing against stupidity.  She sent 700 dollars to the Dominican republic (red flags huh)? they said it was a tax, because ny has these laws, and since it was being transferred from washington dc to new york (again, why send the money to DR).  I said she should tell them to take it out of the 10,000 grant, because sending cash through western union will guarantee that she will be scammed, she was defensive saying that, even if it was, the bank would reimburse her because it was fraud. I explained that she withdrew the CASH so its not fraud, but, dumb dumb didn't listen.  Then when it was all done, the woman stopped answering her phone calls (funny, because she was so helpful when my friend needed help SENDING the money), then my friend the next day said she had to call the bank, (I said OH TO REPORT FRAUD) she said no, she wanted to see why there was a hold on her account preventing the incoming wire transfer. Ugh!! WHAT THE HELL.  Anyways, needless to say, these criminals should be ashamed, but they will never be stopped, because there will always be someone to rob. o_0

Yeah I just got a call 10 minutes ago. Congratulating me and telling me they will transfer $10k into my account for a small processing fee, Hey if legit? Whatever small fee is fine. But will tell them that I will and DO handle all my own taxes and will pay it as soon as the deposit is made.

Of COURSE I smell a rat. And with this information knew it was too good to be true. Thanks everyone. Going to call back and play along. Like I said $150 or so to get 10k? Who wouldn't. And IF legit taxes? Absolutely. I pay quarterly as it is. But funds have to be confirmed in my account within 24 hours for anything else.

irecieved a call at 6pm telling me i was eligible for gov.grant in the amount of 10,000i was given a phone # and gave me an id #,my daughter got through the next morning and they began explaining why i nam to recieve this money and i never have to pay back,but they needed 150.00 for some dumb reason i knew they were fake and they r targeting people who dont have that kind of money to waste like me,i called bbb and our local news people need to know that talking to a foreignor can ruin your stability what little we have post this on you tube or somewhere that more americans can be aware

I got the same call about a $10,000.00 grant from the U.S. government. I am wondering how they got my information; name, cell phone number, address. I did an online application for an auto loan and the next day I started getting these phone calls. I am wondering if this is a coincidence or have other people done online applications also.

I agree. This is a total outrage. I was just scammed by this number yesterday. Foreign callers for American money. If I had money to give I wouldn't be applying for money to help me out. Upset beyond belief.

in which i will
neva have to pay it back,so dey asked me 4r processing fee,but first i dont trust them,but i still made da payment for da processing fee of $250,so once i clear dat fee dey deposited my grants after 1hours..m so happy...

Received phone call from Alex Jon who stated that I was able to receive a $10,000 grant from the Federal Grant Department.  When I refused to give them my bank information he stated that I could receive my grant in the form of a check within 2-3 business days.  Requested that I contact Wiliam Smith at (202) 657-6548 to validate my check and to find out about a "one time processing fee".  I played along but will not contact the number.

RECEIVED A CALL FROM WILLIAM SMITH ABOUT THE 10000 DOLLAR GRANT FROM THE FED GOVT.

HE SAID I WOULD HAVE TO GO WESTERN UNION AND PAY A 110 DONATION TO RED CROSS IN ORDER FOR THEM TO RELEASE MY FUNDS FROM THE GRANT THAT THEY PROMISED.I BELIEVE THIS IS A SCAM AND WANT TO INVESTIGATE.

I got a call from 202-657-6548,said you have a U.S.Grant for $10,000 dollors and to make a donation of
$150.00. Like a fool i did. Than they said i need to pay the IRS $890.00 dollors and they would put the
$10,000 dollors in my Acc., I said i didn't have that much, they called back and said i could pay half.
I said i would try. But i'm not, and am waiting for their next call.
