I am to, tired of these scam callers. They need to be put in jail , for taking people money like that.

I am so tired of these calls.  When does it stop. I have reported so many of them.

Says I will receive a $6700 grant if I  call this  202-738-1027 and ask for Mr William Hobbs. the original called showed as 222-223-3333 on caller id.

Thank you! I know that know, I was in a state of desperation so I fell hard. Can't blame anyone but myself but I sure did report them to the FBI and FTC. These fraudsters will be taken down soon enough.

Everyone and anyone who has been contacted by these people, please READ- URGENT: Please file a complaint with the FTC (Federal Trade Commission), the more complaints they get from these people will rush the investigation process. You may get some if any of your money back from FTC. If you have any concerns or question, please email me @: TNmomong@aol.com. I've been a victim of these people as well, I want the FTC to do an investigation while these scammers phone line are still active. PLEASE LEND A HAND AND TAKE ACTION!!

So sorry you went through this - remember - to receive a grant or a loan, it is ILLEGAL for the lender/disburser to charge you a "fee", "tax", "insurance" etc before you actually receive the money.

How did you get this grant??? What steps did you take??? If you are working with them to scam people and feeding your children with the money scammed from people, you can be sure that you guys will die from it. You will REAP WHAT YOU SOW because you can't escape karma.

I received a call from SHANE MORRISON (222) 223-333 saying I was 1 of the 200 people that was lucky enough to be selected to get a grant of $6,700 from the government. He gave me a file number and told me to call WILLIAM HOBBS (202) 738-1027 in order to claim my money. When I called this William Hobbs guy, he told me to pay a ONE time tax fee of $300 through Western Union to NISSI N. COLEMAN and I would get that amount back with the $6,700, once the transaction was done I will receive the money in 30 mins. After almost 3 hrs, FRANCES FLOYED (206) 923-9577 claiming to be from the U.S. Federal Bank saying that she has the money all ready for me but the bank is giving her problems and is charging a tax of $800 but she was able to get it lowered for me to $480, send that and I will receive my money within 30 mins. Again, I naively fell for the scam. I sent the money. She called me back in the morning saying that there is insurance because there are news about online scamming so the bank is being very cautious, telling me I need to send another $500. Out of frustration, I confronted her about this being a scam; she has the audacity to ask, what was wrong with me? If this is the first time I've been approved for a grant? When I ask for the money that I paid back, she said I would get it back with the grant money. I told her I don't even want the grant anymore, just give me back what I paid, she then said she'll cancel everything it if I don't want the grant and I will not get my money back. I'd lost $840 in total and I needed that money to purchase a plane ticket to begin my new life. If you receive a call from anyone saying you've been qualified for a grant or that you owe the government money, DON'T FALL FOR IT!!!!

Don't do it, they say to send them money to get ur check and then they don't send u a check but keep ur money!!! It's scam by the federal department of grants! Go to www.mygrants.com

I am so tired of hard working people getting scammed , this number called and let me know I was giving a grant for7000, then told me I had to send them 290 dollars to pay the taxes on this, I'm so glad I looked this site up before I did send them money!!! These calls should b illegal how can they say that they work for the federal department and steal honest hard working citizens money from them...

The only thing you got from Mr. Hobbs, "Rico", was a raging case of crabs! Now slink off some where and stop bothering us with your asinine BS!

He is calling from Washington DC the number shows.

i got the same offer for a government grant that others got. I gave him my name and address because i figured they could just look that up if wanted, they already had my cell number. I was told to call back and given a confirmation number. Any idea what the scam is?

He said he was from sort of government grant department.  I asked him to remove my number from their list. and he started offering sexual favors.   I reported the number.

Same deal, some guy from government grants. I am thinking this is connected with applications for scholarships. He is definitely Hindi or something.

Received 3 calls today from this # after signing up on freebies sites --  could it be related?  Called.back.once to no answer, will not waste my long diatance to check again.

Received many calls .When did have someone respond when I answered they said from Government of US and had a grant for me of 6000$ . I said great .She asked  how do you want to receive it into your account or by cash . I said by certified check would be great . They hung up. I guess I still win not scammed today .Ha Ha

The caller asked for me and told my wife he was from the US Government and didn't leave a call back number and the then hung up.

I have been recieving calls everyday at 7 in the morning and this morning I asked for my # to be taken off the call list and the man told he would do it after I answered his question. He asked me " Did you have sex lastnight? I couldn't believe it!!! Who r these people!!! I'm am livid!!!!!

Me too...got a call just a few mins ago.  I politely declined and told the guy to remove me from their list.  He said 'No' at first...and then said it would cost me $30 to remove my number from their list.  I asked him if he wanted trouble with the FTC for soliciting money to be removed from their list... He got angry and stupid....and I think I hit a nerve...YES!!!  Hung up on him after that!  We;ll see if they call back again...

Very annoying. Has called 6 times today. At one point I spoke to him and he wanted to offer me a govt grant.,
I told him I knew he was a scam artist and to lose my number.  I received 4 more calls after that. There has to be a way to stop this insanity.  I'm sure some people get raked in, and end up giving personal information and have money stolen from them. This is not the only (202) number that calls me and also pops up on my phone as being from DC USA

So they called again!  Gonna try the strategy I use for other unwanted calls...answer, put the phone by the TV speakers and let them listen to it until they hang up!  Usually after 2 or 3 times doing this, they stop calling.  We'll see!

Received a call from this number 4 times so far today and it's only 3:48 pm!

These people call and call and call.  half the time no one is there.  I say hello then I might hear someone for a second or two then nothing.  How do you get them to stop calling.
