how do we stop these dummies who don't get that we're on the Do Not Call list?  so frustrating!

when i called the number back (from my work phone), a recording said "thank you for your support, your call will be answered in the order it was received".  still no information about WHO is responsible for calling from 2027477302.  i did not wait for them to pick up.

Its customer service for Deseret Book.  They are doing something with a rewards program.  Its a non threatening call, but I am sure they are trying to sell you something.

It is Deseret Book's Film Department. They have a separtate number than the regular Book Store/Online Store. The Main Deseret Book will give you the Film Departments' number, if you ask which is the 202-747-7302. They also have an 888 number that goes to the same place which is 888-345-6751. The phone call was from them regarding film specials for Rewards Program Members. In short, they are trying to sell you something.

don't know anyone from this area code.  if it IS deseret book, have gotten other usolicited calls from them.

Missed a call from this number. No message left. Just curious who it was. I don't know anyone from this area code.

I received a call from 202-747-7302 on 8-13-08 @ 8:06 pm AZ time.  I didn't answer and they did not leave a message.  After checking my missed call list on my phone, I see I also received a call from 773-922-5404 on 8-11-08 @ 2:02 pm AZ time.  According to "ctrteresa" this is the same telemarketer!  Next time I will answer and tell them to put me on their no call list!!! Thanks ctrteresa!

I received a call from this number 8:25am 8/4 and ignored it.  They didn't leave a msg.  I got curious and called back.  After a bit of a go-round, I got the person to admit they're a "customer service" center for several different companies.  I was told they're Customer Service for Deseret Books offering a movie deal and she tried to pitch it to me.  NOT!  After hanging up with the woman, I contacted Deseret Books and spoke with a real customer service representative to find out what is going on.  Sad but true.  They've hired a company to sell movies for them and were glad for my "feedback on the experience" I had.  I told the girl to put me on their do not call list, pronto!!  There's another telephone number the "customer service" company is using:  (773) 922-5404.

Received a call from this number today.  He said "is (my name) there?"  I said "this is she". Then he hung up.  Weird.

I also have received numerous phone calls from this number. I don't answer them because I don't know who it is and if they want to talk to me they can leave a msg. If Deseret Book knew what was happening I'm sure they would be unhappy. I have dealt with Feature Films for Families before and they are a hard sell. They don't take no for an answer and won't leave you alone. I don't mind their films but the way the sell them is not good salesmanship, they need a website and those who are interested can purchase them there. I stopped buying from them because of their persistent and insistent phone calling.

Sounds like the same guy called me told me he had a special for Deseret Book and stated that over the phone may not be the best way to present this. Proceeded to tell me about 4 movies then got quiet.. I asked if he was there... he said hold on 1 more minute please and then stated he would sum up "You will receive 4 movies at 12.99 each ..." I told him NO!... He kept telling me I would be getting them. I said "you are not dealing straight" and I hung up. I called back and they answered Desert Customer Support. I spoke about the experience and they acted horrified.

So after finding this site and reading what others had said I called back and insisted they tell me WHO they are. They finally stated they were with Feature Films for Families.

So still not believing they were dealing straight with me I called the main number for Feature Films and spoke with their customer support. The lady did tell me this is a legit program and that they were in partnership with Deseret Book to make this offer to rewards members.

I proceeded to tell her that it is good to know the program is legit and that we were not called by some scammer BUT the guy is a creep and not representing you well. I also referred them to this site. She stated she would report this to management and that they can track down who ever it was that called.

This guy keeps calling and asking for my husband.  He won't leave a message or identify who he is and when I ask questions, he get really quiet and doesn't really answer.  I want him to stop wasting my time.

The same thing happened to me this morning.  I started asking questions and he went quiet.  I asked if he were still there he said yes, and went quiet, I asked if he were a real person, quiet and then yes.  Then he asked me to hold and then I hung up.  I will call the real Deseret Book phone number this morning to let them know.  Plus when they called me, it was 6:30 AM Utah time and I know Deseret book doesn't open that early!

Just called asking for my sister who is in Rexburg, Idaho. Our family account is in her name, so I doubt they'll divulge their secret to anybody else haha. Whatever...

I answered because the Caller ID said Deseret Book.  I couldn't read the whole number, but afterward looked on my other phone and realized it was this number.  Had a conversation with a young man wanting to send me 4 movies because I was a rewards member of Deseret Book.  Nice, but annoyingly persistent.  I really don't think it was Deseret Book, but when I called the number back they did answer as Deseret Book Customer Service.

Received a call on my cell from this # but they hung up after two "rings" and left no message.  'Odd.

Got a call from this number showing it was from Deseret Book.  I didn't answer and there was no message left on my machine. I doubt this call was from the Deseret Book I know because the few times I've gotten a call from them they left a message.

Keep getting called from this number.  Finally answered, man asked for hubby.  I said not available, could I take a message?
He said, "Oh, no message, I will call back later."

Called me this morning. no message. I called the number back and got customer service for Deseret Book.
