Got the same message which sounded live also. Jason Miller with a heavy accent saying he was from the IRS and to call back immediately or he could only wish me good luck. I wish this type of action could be stopped. It's not right to try and trick people into being frightened. I feel bad for elderly people who might fall for such a scam.

A guy with an accent left a message calling himself "Jason Miller" (same as a previous post) claiming to be from the IRS.
I heard the man leave the message live and there was a noticeable pause when he got to his name. "My name is....Jason Miller. Yeah right! He's obviously reading from a script.

I almost picked up the phone to tell him how "concerned" I am about my "situation" and that I will give him all the necessary information that he needs. Then fill him up with bogus information.

I agree with the previous post, feeding these scammers fake information and taking up their time!

Prank Call
Client called me in a panic to follow=up.  This is a scam - check the IRS web site and search for phone scams.
Have some fun.  Tell them all your $ is tied up in CDs.  Tell them the bank needs a $200 fee before they will release the funds.  Ask that they send you the $200, add it to your bill, and you'll send them the full amount.  Scam the scammers, call them back and waste their time.  Contact the IRS and tell them about it.

This number has called me as well and said the same thing. This is the IRS and he also left a name (Jason Miller) clearly he wasnt a Jason Miller, with such a strong accent. First of all the IRS would not call you personally, they send you letters  and notices if something is up. I know this because my cousin works for the IRS. This is totally a scam or a bad debt collector trying every means possible to get your attention.

Called my office. Voicemail was broken up and computer generated, asked for a return phone call from me or my attorney. Clearly some sort of scam.
