Got a call 5 minutes back asking for my husband. Took down his # and asked what it was concerning. He said his name is Mark Brown calling from DC crimes dept. I told him I would ask my husband to call back. We have received so many calls like this now that I can almost tell what the line is going to be!

This guy called my mom and claimed to be from the FBI. Said she has a lawsuit filed against her and that she needs to pay so when I said I know all about this kind of calls and that they need to stop calling and harassing my mom, he became abusive and so I said a few words on my mind as well and thats when his pervert side came out and he called like 5 times after that being all pervert.

they call to say that my wife have three pending case against her, demanded that we call them back..   you should call local police then after you have your case number you should call your phone company and report their unlawful call center

My Wife Got this call yesterday and same thing he said to her she gave me a number and I called him back and spoke to him as I am very upset about it. he hung up on me at first then I started calling him back  and each time he picks up the phone I us cussing words and hang up on him till he got pissed. I told him he messed with the wrong person and untill he changes his own number I will not stop calling you and cussing you out. I can change my caller ID anytime I want so he has to answer my Phone.

I just got call from them... one was from india and he was speaking language Gujarati. When I said, i am calling 911 and giving them your number he started absuing me in Gujarati (one of the indian language).when I called back to them then I got chines person voice...I am not sure, what they are going to achieve after this kind of calls...

Received a call - did not speak. Called him back - claimed to be federal bureau of crime and something. Says he has a lawsuit against me. I said so what, I have lots of lawsuits against me.....

I'm getting similar calls ... either claiming from FBI that I have a criminal case against me, or from IRS claiming that I owe taxes. I'm glad I checked this number. I'm telling them 'off' after I hear the whole story & threatening them back that I'm recording the call and reporting them fraud.

If anyone found a resolution to have these bunch of as#$%oles stop it all and get handed over to authorities ... I'd really like to hear/see that.

Received a call to my home. I returned the call from work and did not identify myself. The gentleman had an Indian accent and accused me of unpaid taxes and fraud. He claimed that he was authorized to resolve the transaction and that I was subject to fines and criminal prosecution. I asked him which taxes I had failed to pay and he told me it was from the IRS and the FBI. I requested the case number and he told me that it was not necessary and that he would simply transfer the case to my local police department (keep in mind that he does not know my name or address as I was calling him from my corporate office). This is a scam. Tell them nothing. Make up a name and never give out any personal information.

I am from India and I got a call from the same number.
I wanted to call back and see what's their game plan. But they are evasive, disconnected several times but I insisted.
One person said he is Craig Miller and another person said Nick, but both said I have some pending criminal charges, and when I asked about details they said they will send to local police department.

I can say for sure, this is not Indian accent. It's Chinese.

I received call today FROM 202-864-1148. SAME STORY IRS. Asking for my personal information.
I have reported to the Police.

Report 'em.   They like to pick on single women, single mothers, the elderly and recent members of the immigrant community.

Over the lat three months this person has called several times. His accent sounds Indian or Pakistani. First, he called several times wanting to speak to my wife because IRS was about to issue a warrant for her ARREST. Recently he satrted asking about me, because I was in legal trouble and about to be arrested.  He claimed to be a Peace Officer from Washington DC. I asked him whether he was a Federal or a Statte Officer and he stated: State. So, I have a State Officer from Washington DC calling California to arrest me? Not very bright. The penalty for impersonating a Peace Officer is several years in jail. So I called (202) 864-1148.  A person with an East Indian accent answered the phone.  He knew my full name and address and requested the last four digits of my Social Security number.  I declined. I speak both Hindi (India) and Urdu (Pakistan). So, I spoke to him in Hindi and he informed me that he was not familiar with the language that I was speaking. I called several Federal and Local Agencies, but they were not interested.  One of them did go over my information to check for "Patterns".  Whatever that means? The person has called thrice today and left messages. I believe this is some type of scam.

The caller with funny accent left a message on my answering machine that criminal charges are pending against me and I should call them right away before I am booked and sent to jail. I did not call back.

Received a call from this number today. "Nick Brown" from the Criminal Investigation Department in Waltham, New Jersey left a message for "Metali Gupta" stating there was a legal case file and criminal actions would be taken if she did not call back immediately. If the call is ignored, then her family would be at risk. Pretty scary sounding, but the heavy Indian accent and the fact that my name is not "Metali" was a dead giveaway. Reported the number to the authorities. Scam, albeit threatening scam, but a scam nonetheless. Beware.

I got a same call Guy name is kevin Cooper and he claims to be IRS investigater wants me to call 202-864-1181 because my name is under investigation, Sounds like some Indian A-- Hole.

Caller left a voice mail asking me to call back as there had a civil complaint against my name and address. He gave his name as John Smith from Crime and Investigation Dept. Asked me to call him back and not to ignore this message. I get so many of these calls that i have become immune to them and ignore them. They have to understand that if the government has a complaint against you then will file a case and have court paper served to  you. They wont call you.

On April28, 2014, I received a prank phone cal from 202 8641148 claiming he is from Federal Criminal department. He wanted me to wire $3000. Please do not talk to this number, it is a scam and real scam, they scare you.

Few minutes ago I got a call from 2028641148 saying that there are 3 cases against me and threatening that I will be arrested . He said I should call back at certain number.
Real investigating agencies need to find out the culprits and stop the harassment.

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

Very rude caller threatening call. Talking about confecticating property etc. uncluttered talk.

I got call today.  Telling me that police will arrest me in couple of hours.  And fbi has been notified for my criminal charges. I asked about what is the charge. They simply tell you that police will tell you at the time of arrest.
Don't take it serious this is a scam.
