RECEIVING UNWANTED/THREATENING CALL FROM 202-864-1216!

The following numbers are an absolute scam:
202-864-1216
571-932-2010

They are not from the IRS, they are scammers calling from India. If you want to confirm you can call back and as soon as they answer, tell them "take me of your list now". They will hang up on you.
I also had some fun and cursed at a few of them and they cursed right back!

If you have a block feature just block their numbers because they will never stop calling!

I got the same call today from Frank Anderson, IRS tax crime and fraud. It was a recording that was threatening me. I retuned the call but went to a full mailbox, w/o the msg leaving a name. I tried back  a few mins later, thinking it was suspicious. He answered but refused to tell me who he actually worked for. Misprounced my name repeatedly. When I told him I refused to speak to him about the matter, that he needed to send me a certified letter, he called me a f**kin B and hung up on me

In response to Joy and everyone else. Yeah, this dude named Jake Anderson, 202-864-1416, with the "IRS", is full of crap. He burned me out because he left a threatening message on my bf's phone. I kept calling this number back and finally he picked up. I asked him why he was leaving threatening messages with people who haven't committed tax crimes. He immediately got irate and requested that he talk to ??? (my bf's name). When I told "Jake" that I wasn't going to let him talk to my bf he started calling me a bi***, w***e, f****n' bi***, and f****n' a***ole, then hung up. He called back an hour later and I said hello, he was quiet for a few seconds. Human mode kicked in and I responded with a highly immature response of, "go f*** a goat." and i said it several times before he finally hung up. He ain't called back since.

Not necessary.  We know the calls are spoofed and originate in India.  Period.   They do not originate in the US.

Lol...it's 100% Indian accent for those who cannot distinguish foreign accent. Some are saying its middle eastern accent which is not correct.  

After having worked as a pension analyst for 10 years.  The IRS NEVER calls you.  They send you a notice in the mail

Received 3 messages on voicemail, guy with an Indian accent who said his name was something Jones. (duh)
Anyway he stated when my wife did not pay her taxes.  My wife told him point blank we knew it was scam and his number is all over the internet reported as such.  He responded with "suck my #$#%^". My wife countered with "it ain't big enough honey!"

your an idiot to think this is real. you would have received letters from IRS before you would receive a phone call from them. There would not be a message left on your answering machine like these.

One of my friends got a call, I listened the conversation as he put it on the speaker. Being an Indian guy, I could easily identify his Indian (gujju) accent. He is probably sitting somewhere in gujrath India  making calls with his voip phone....from Todds message above officers Frankie Anderson and John Anderson is funny.

Received three phone calls this morning. First one says message is for Charlotte. This is Officer (mumbles a name sounds like JoAnne, but it was an Indian Man). Says he is calling from (mumbles) police department. Is pursuing a case file against me.  Important I call back  as soon as possible. Says his number is 202-864-1216.  He says thank you and have a nice day.  Second message sounds more urgent.  Says: Message is Time Sensitive and VERY URGENT.   DON'T Disregard this message and do return the call.  Now if I don't hear from you or your attorney either the only thing I can do is wish you good luck as the situation unfolds for you. Then he says good bye and take care.  Third message was the same.  This call is a recording not a live person.  They want you to call them back at the 202#.  The first two messages had a number shown on the screen besides the 202 telephone number.  It was V522163931000, V5221653370000, but the last one actually listed call as being from Washington DC.  Two weeks prior to this I received three phone calls from same number but that time it was claiming to be from IRS and there was an outstanding warrant for my arrest and my house was under surveillance none of which is true.  I ignored them the same as these today since they are obviously a bogus call and a scam.

So called IRS officer..  Don't fall for it. The last thing irs wants is an Indian voice that sounds like the rest of the annoying scammer a**holes to deliver an important message like that.

Scam caller trying to get money out of you by claiming to be from IRS. Be careful. IRS does not phone people -- they send regular US Government Mail in the mail. Scammers trying to get ID from you to perpetrate Identity Fraud.

Called 3 times did not leave message. Caller ID is 202-864-1216. Blocked number.

Just received a call from an Indian man who said his name was "Officer Frank Anderson" and when I asked for more info put me in touch w/his supervisor "John Anderson"...sounds fake to me!

Michael Jones  called for some "legal notification"...beware everyone out there....
