Calls and hangs up.

Caller and reason unknown and annoying.

Called and left no message.  Not the first time that they have called

i have got seven caals from this number when  I answer they hang up.

It seems so easy not to answer, but I am trying to relax and a ringing phone does not lend itself to that. You can't turn the phone off because someone you need to speak to might call. Anybody have any idea how to get their address or more information? I am so angry right now. They have called about 10 times in 2 hours and say nothing. I am going to report them to the FCC but who knows how long it might take to get it stopped.

This number has called numerous times and I have no intention of answering a call if I do not know who is calling.

No, it isn't. The national Do Not Call Registry was established by the Federal Trade Commission in June 2003 to meet the requirements of the Do Not Call Implementation Act.  The law made it illegal for telemarketers to call consumers with whom they did not have a prior business  relationship.

The FTC exempted survey and opinion research because it is a critical part of making and monitoring policy decisions. Researchers collect and measure public opinion and feed it into the policy process so that the views and values of the citizenry have a place at the table when
decisions are made.

Survey research is used in a variety of ways, from providing us with the Census to tracking immunizations. Research gives elected officials a reality check, and can protect against policy decisions based only on assumptions, guesswork and ideology.

Although survey firms are exempt, most do maintain internal do-not-call lists.

this last one takes you to their code of standards. i will post more on this 202-870-5957 as i get it.

calls 3 or 4 times a day. never leaves a message. no one on the other end if you answer. i am on the do not call list. need to find out who's number this is. i now have 18 calls from this person.

i had these people call me at least 3/4 times today. thank god i never answer my phone without looking to see who it is first. all you have to do, is sign up for the do not call list. and then after the first month on the do not call list, you can file a complaint federal trade commission at: www.ftc.org. i know i am going to be filing a complaint. good luck everybody.

This needs to stop.

This number called me four times today, from about 3PM to 6PM AK time.  I thought they would have taken the hint after I didn't pick up the first two times.  The third time, I listened to dead air for about twenty seconds before saying "take me off your list".  The fourth time, I heard more silence before I said, "If you don't take me off your list, I am going to file harrassment charges."  No one ever even spoke or left any messages.

This number called my cell today looked at the number before I answered as always and figured who it was since we are so close to elections. Didn't answer! I hung up on them and put the number into blocked call list on my cell. Problem solved. You all have a choice not to answer or hang up on them hello!

This number called 7 times in 8 hours.  Never left a message.  It's good that my phone has a personal call-block list.  I put it in.

I have tried answering this call each time today in the 20 minute increments. I would like to complain about them

It's a political poll asking who you are going to vote for.

I have been out of town all weekend. On caller ID, this number (listed as Pol O) has called me today at:

also on July 29 at 7:55pm. This is as far back as my caller ID goes. But I remember this number calling a few times one morning that I was home a week or so ago as well.

They were calling me every 20mins and I asked 3 of them to take me off the list and they hung up on me, so I resorted to my fav method, my whistle. I waited until they started talking and I was very nice and then blew the whistle as loud as I could! They stopped calling.....

like others are saying,: they call about every 20 minutes, nothing is said.. then they call again!

I have received three calls today from this number. I finally answered and the man did not say "hey, how ya doing," or anything...first thing out of this mouth was "who are you voting for," and he named off a few candidates. I asked him to not call again. Bet I get another call in another 20 minutes.

I am not really doing anything to stop these jerks from calling me, but I am having fun researching them and posting it on here.  And if it is a landline we can call them back after the election and bug them.

This number is coming up as one of 52 calling numbers from the American Institute for Cancer Research or AICR.  That is not what my caller ID says.  Could they be doing political polling on the side or recently given up that paticular number?  I'd hate to be frustrated at the American Cancer Research folks if it is not them, but whoever it is is rude.

202 is the North American telephone area code for Washington, D.C. It was one of the area codes originally assigned in October 1947.

As of 2009, there are no plans to overlay the area code, as the North American Numbering Plan Administration estimates the current supply of 202 numbers sufficient at least to the year 2019.[1] For a local call between two telephones in the District, 7-digit dialing is permitted, although the call will be connected if the area code is dialed. There is, of course, no provision for long-distance calls within the area code.[2]

Originally, area code 202 was an unpublished alternate area code for the nearby suburbs in Maryland and Virginia, which were officially in area codes 301 and 703, respectively. That arrangement allowed local calls throughout the metropolitan area to be dialed using only seven digits. For example, a telephone number in Kensington, Maryland, that was officially 301-949-xxxx could be dialed as 202-949-xxxx as well. I forgot to add that when I call the number back it is either busy or I get a recording saying their mailbox is full.

I have gotten calls from this number for 3 days now.  Usually my answering machine picks up and they just hang up on it.  Then once my kids answered and they wanted to know who we were voting for.  My kids told them they would have to talk to me and I was not available.  Then they started back in today, about every hour and it kept waking me up.  This last time, I answered and asked them to stop calling, The man just hung up.  How rude.  The caller ID says "Pol Opinion."

I just got this call today - so far they have called 3 times in 2 hrs.  They hang up as soon as the answering machine message starts.  I screen my calls if I don't know the number.  My caller ID says POL Opinion.   If this is for a political campaign bad way to get people to vote for you.

I started getting calls from this number 2 days ago starting at 4pm and they call every 15 - 20 minutes until about 8pm. No msg is left and the caller id says Pol 0.

Caller ID says "Pol 0"  I never answer if I don't know the number. Called 3 times. No message left. If it's a candidate using this number I will make sure I vote against them.

I''ve gotten calls from these guys today at least for or 5 times in an hour period. They never even leave a voicemail so they're obviously some scammer hoping to strike it rich or some telemarketer who doesn't care that my number is on the Do Not Call List.

I've been getting calls from this number as well.  When I called back to tell them to remove me from their "list" all I get is a recording saying that all lines are busy??!  I don't know who they are or why they are calling me - VERY frustrating!!  What can we do about it?
