These are Robo calls not humans. Ask what color eyes they have or any other personal question and they will hang up.

Calls from AICR come 24/7. I have probably received 50 calls in a 6 week time frame. I have requested that they take my number of their list. They inform me that it will be done, but more calls keep coming. When asked how much the chairity organization that they are collecting for is given, the response is 15%. They keep 85%. I am a cancer survivor and I do donate on a regular basis, but to local organizations. How do I get them to quit calling?

Calls from 202-888-9724 come several times a day. I never answer. My problem is with my failure to answer, they do not hang up and leave my line open so my line gives a busy signal until I manually hang it up. This presents a tremendous problem when 202-888-9724 phones and I am not at home because my line stays, basically off the hook, until I arrive home from work and find the computer operator stating "if you need help, please hang up and dial again", "if you need help, please hang and dial again". My phone reflects busy until I hang up the receiver. This entails several hours that my phone has not been able to receive valid calls. I will try dialing back to get my name removed from this fraud cancer research. Looks like the FCC would stop these people and investigate the cancer research as fraud.

I keep getting calls from this number. I am on the do not call list. I am so sick of getting these calls. I am going to buy me a whistle and let them have it.

Grateful 2014-01-18 21:45:01 Unknown
Great tip. Called the 202# back & pressed 1 & then 3 & entered my 10 digit# & the voice print confirmed at least 30 days for removal.

I can understand your concern about this site. You're deathly afraid of the fact that people are catching on to your means of making a buck. You, and your organization, are Charlatans. It's as simple as that.
I happen to be a Leukemia survivor. CML, if it matters. It doesn't. I donate thousands of dollars every year. To the appropriate charity. Never to a huckster in the middle. People like you are a scourge that need to be eliminated. "Non-profits" like your organization are an embarrassment to this country. You have no reason to exist. You should no longer be allowed to exist. I'll spend more time seeing to it that legislation is enacted to prevent organizations like yours to be allowed to operate.
Charitable organizations are a good thing. In fairness, they should be allowed to retain a percentage. I think 10% would be a good ratio. What do you think, Pal? I'll bet that's a moot question. You'd be out of a job in a heart-beat if such legislation were to be enacted.
You're an unconscionable joke. Get used to the fact. The public is becoming aware of the BS people like you have been spewing for decades. We care about real needs. NOT your pitiful job or the people you shuck for.
Skeff Ett Liv!

Actually they use to call with the the caller ID of ACIR. I guess people got wind of them. We just don't answer numbers we don't recognize. Screw them! ACIR is a scam group. They may give money for cancer but it's like 0.10, if that, on the dollar b

I have blocked several of the numbers they use and now I called the last one and pressed the remove my # option. Called at 5:30 on a Sunday. So glad I bothered to register with the do not call list.

American Institute for Cancer Research - called it back...pressed "1" fro more info (only option there was) then "3" to be removed from list. Then had to enter my phone# which was repeated back, pressed 1(or3?) to confirm. Then it said maybe upto 30 days to be removed. I HOPE SO as they have been calling incessantly!

All 4 phone numbers registered to AICR call me constantly. Every day. I'm caregiver for my husband. These people are heartless scam artists. I pick up then hang up. However, since I'm pretty sure these are robo calls - that doesn't stop them. I do this so that the ringing phone will not disturb my husband.

I saw this number on my caller ID so I did not answer the phone and the message was from my brother. He was calling me from his cell phone which is not even close to this number. We are wondering if it was routed through the NSA and caller ID picked up on that.

I answered and the woman would not stop takling wanting me to do something with the people on my road regarding something to do with Cancer. . She was begging me to listen and talked over me when I told her repeatedly that I did not want to get involved with something I had no knowledge of. I finally had to just rudely hang up after threatening to do so.

I got several calls from 202-888-9724 also. I called them back and there is a prompt to remove your number. It's kind of tricky, you have to push 1 (the option to hear more about their organization) then listen to the short message, it will then give you the option to be removed from their calling list. Hope this helps.

Call came in from this number at 12:53 PM on Sunday, January 5, 2014. No name was displayed. I did not answer the call, and no message was left. On January 3, I received a call from the same area code and prefix, but with the last four numbers -9537. I didn't answer that call eitherl, and no message was left.

The AICR scammers use a variety of 202 area code numbers with both 888 and 688 prefixes in their devious attempts to con people out of their hard earned money in order to line their greedy pockets! These lowlifes can call every day until Christmas with the chances of my answering as nil. What a truly disgusting group of creatures, that take funds away from legitimate charities!
yeah righ 2013-11-13 16:07:16 Unknown
If you ran a fake charity like AICR whose initials were becoming more notorious every day, you might not want them displayed on CID either.
Richard 2013-11-13 16:03:05 Unknown
These calls used to say AICR as a caller ID but now all it says is Private. I was a private once over 50 years ago but now I don't know any privates so I won't answer that one either. What I don't understand is the NSA can listen in on world-wide conversations but can't be bothered to go after these annoying scam artists nor do the phone providers care to help shut them down. Heck we're even providing them with a phone # that certainly be traced with current technology.
Karen 2013-11-10 18:55:52 Unknown
Sometimes receive 2 or 3 calls per day from this number which is identified as "anonymous". We do not answer because we have no idea who it is. But on one occasion, when a grandchild answered, there was no response on the line, plus they never leave a message. That, in itself, leads us to believe it is not a legitimate call and is likely a telemarket scheme or scam.

CALLS DAILY, WILL NEVER ANSWER THEIR CALL. THEY ARE WASTING THEIR TIME CALLING ME.
