Do you have att? I just switched to att, got a new number, gave it to no one and had this energy number call me no stop. In addition to that other solicitations called and they nj we my name... A day after installing the new number.  I think something is up with AT&T. They have a blocking service you need to pay for though...

For over a month now, this number calls my unlisted number, at all hours of the day and night, even at 9 PM.  How they got my unlisted number, I don't know.  Every time they call, I either immediately hang it up, or it rings and rings with no answer from me.  You would think after several months, they would get the clue that no one here will EVER talk to them.  I guess they like paying their employees to do stupid crap that will never generate a dime for them.  Perhaps they should change their marketing strategy, because this one will never work.  I hope they go out of business or get jailed for their scam scheme soon.

As a rule we DON'T answer calls from numbers we don't recognize. Occasionally we pick-up to nip a new pest in the bud because the ringing alone is a nuisance (as in ALL hours, EVERY day). But don't any of you realize that the phone company makes money even from scammers, so they have NO reason to help US stop the madness! Maybe if we notified our land line carriers that we are ready, able and willing to DROP our land lines unless they DO something--and not just dish out another weak promise--we WILL drop, maybe then they'll put our needs over those of scammers!

Excellent idea! I called the number in SHelton, spoke with a supervisor, they claimed my number is off the list now.

My answering machine message is in a non-english language so even if it's a live person, it weeds out the unwanted.

ok I finally held on the the dead line if you get a call from this number it is a company called discount power in shelton connecticut their number is 203-929-3200 please feel free to call them every day at least 3 times a day until they remove your number. I highly recommend calling them as close to 5:00pm as possible and keep their employee on the phone for at least a 1/2 hour. I suggest the "oops I got another call coming in can you hold ?" trick. Maybe if this company has to pay their employees overtime they will get the message to stop calling us.

Number shows up as "Energy" on caller ID.  They also use another number, 860-751-9969.  Tired of their daily phone calls - they should be locked up!

Who is this calling? They keep calling and you can't call the number back!  Is this is scam?

I could not get through calling back.  They call way to often, sometimes several times within a minute, several times each day and never say anything when I answer.  

What a load of baloney.  No way is this a real company or anyone I would trust.

You can't even get through if you try calling back. No way is this an honest company!  Don't answer!

Getting calls from this number and similar numbers as well as those 860-761-9967 and similar numbers too.  We asked CL&P to de-list us but did not contact the utility commission as CL&P suggested. Was told by CL&P since our number was already listed - taking it off of the utility and commission lists may not do a thing, plus there are scammers calling pretending to be from power providers as reported by CT Attorney General and local news.  Bottom line - I say don't answer calls you don't recognize and don't bother with do not call list.  The FCC does little to nothing about harassing calls so why list your number with DNC when scammers seem to like using it to annoy us all.  Wish I could just have no phone!

These people call me everyday from different numbers, I have got calls from 6 different numbers all from ENERGY. I believe it is DIRECT ENERGY out of Hartford Ct. I have requested that they stop calling at least 10 times. They will just call from a different number. They have actually been rude to me. Any help in stopping these calls will much appreciated.

Got call from this # today-no one there-I called # back and it does nothing-no ringing-just dead silence but my phone says call is connected!   Yesterday got a call from 860-761-9967 they had my name and wanted to talk about discount electric suppliers-wanted know who I use and how much I pay. When I told her it wasnt good time for me talk-she was annoyed and hung up on me.I presume by other post I should expect several more calls from these numbers-great! Im so sick of people wasting my time and most of all MY MINUTES!

I get 1 or 2 calls a day from this number. ID says Energy. Now the name energy has changed numbers to 860-761-9968 and 203-538-0973. Both of these new yesterday. They also have used 860-761-9967, all in the past 10 days. When I answer no one is there. Sometimes I use the air horn but I do not think anyone is there to blast. Never got through calling back. Blocking numbers but they keep changing them. Anyone have an address on this outfit?

I've asked them to remove me as well and we still get daily calls.....

I have been getting same messages for months from all over the country.  One leaves a message that the call is for Carmen Decla - called number back once and they said they can't control the calls.  Glad I'm not alone with these scammers.  Thanks   Barbara

I got through on my call back, they say they're a discount electric service.  Asked them to remove my number from their list, and now we wait....
Interesting, as soon as I renewed all of the house and cell phone numbers on the Do Not Call registry, I started getting this type of call all the time again.

oh joy, a 5th call that my phone system bounced from these people in one day.
it's almost interesting that they keep calling our numbers and getting blocked and don't give up.
knock yourselves out scammer, our phones don't even ring unless the calls are from someone we know.
my computers are better than yours, nah nah ;)

I have all the time in the world to waste in the world same as the people who make phony calls from numbers that they change daily to perpetuate some sort of fraud
why else would you keep changing your number and make it impossible to call you back?
if anyone cares my advice is never answer any call unless you recognize the number
let the people and machines who make these fraudulent calls waste their time.

do not bother answer or call back - it is a spammer / scammer - number says not in service if you call back.
