I answered the call, even though it was SUNDAY, because it showed 'University'... thinking another college was trying to get my senior class daughter into schooling.
The man answered with "Hello, I'm calling from Quinnipiac University, and we're conducting a poll..."
To which I said, "No thanks", and promptly hung up.

It is the lizard people trying to get me to join the Illuminati.  Ummmm......no.  I like my beer too much.

Hi y'all, they have like called me two or three times a day for the last week.  I like most get the Quinnipac University whatever it is called as caller ID. I ignore the calls and I made this entry just to have a more current entry on this number.  I do not do surveys for I have doubts they take the information accurately anyway.  Maybe if the questions are asked by an automated system, that might be harder to change the answers. Blessed Spring 2014 to y'all!

They called me twice yesterday, the last time at 8:52 p.m. That is way too late to be calling someone.

Just got a call fomr this number myself and I just got my new prepaid cell on monday so I would not get these bull calls anymore.  I called the number they gave to remove me from their list and told them i have no clue where they got my number but they best not call me again and remove me.

Tell me what good does a survey do?  Does it change anyone mind in Washington D.C. ?  Does it change the minds of any particular party?

I don't know these people.  I never asked for them to contact me.  I really have no need to give them any information, they are not entitled to it.  I don't own them anything for me to feel guilty in giving my information.  They are invading my privacy and wasting my time which I do value.  They called 2x in less than an hour when I didn't answer the first time.

What I hate are places like this using names that make them look more official or important or more benign in nature.

Not exactly true. I have answered and THEY hung up! Called them back and got the recorded message they are from Quinnipiac University Polling Institute and they will likely call again soon unless we call to let them know we leave our number with them at: 203-582-5201. When I called THAT number, they did not identify as Quinnipiac, and then they hung up. That's twice. I called right back and got the same person and I told them they just hung up on me and she didn't identify herself as Quinnipiac.  She ,said she had but didn't hear anything so she hung up.and kept talking over me. Again asked her to identify who she was calling for. She told me she already had, but now she gave the whole Quinnipiac name and continued to talk over me even as I tried giving her my number while she calmly repeated "if you would just give me your number..."Then she hung up. Again. Called back and she answered for the third time "POLLING CENTER", as now I can understand her. Finally SCREAMED my number. I was NOT cool. What kind of poll results do they get?  I am happy someone responded to your request so easily, but obviously that is not always the case. Save your judgements about what is rude and aggressive.

I called the number listed above (203) 582-5201 and supposedly they took me off the list.  A national survey doing random number calling is what they said.

I have asked them to stop calling me twice.  The calls keep coming.  Surveyors may be exempt from the
no-call list, but I doubt they are exempt from telephone harassment laws.  Following is some contact information for the Executive Director of QU Polling Institute.  Perhaps contacting him will help those of us whom they keep calling after being asked not to.  If that doesn't work, keep a log of when they call you, get the name of the caller if you can, and then give that information to your local law enforcement agency as well as QU's local law enforcement agency.

I called that comany and they gave me this number to call to be taking off the list (203) 582-5201.  It was as easy as that!
