"Ashley" called to "ask me a few questions to determine what school and program is right for me."  I asked if she had heard of the DO NOT CALL list, and she hung up.  Caller ID says this number is "Academic Advisors."  Very annoying, this is my second call from this number today.  The first was a hang-up call.

This number has called me at least TEN times today. I am at work and can't answer my phone. I was so annoyed I finally picked up and screamed that it was the wrong number. Who are these people and what do they want? Do they not understand that people work?

It's a landline from New Haven, CT. They have been asked to cease and desist all phone calls. They continuously call anyway.

I received 12 calls from them in 5 hours and they never leave amessage. I just set my phone to block this number!

They claim to offer education.  Told them I cannot bid for a job unless I promise to look into education.  When they call, I tell them the circumstances and they either hang up in my face or keep calling.  

I live in NC now, but still have my CT number. I thought it was strange that someone was calling me from a CT number everyone I know is already in my contact. She stated that her name was Ashley from Academic Advising... I know this has to be a scam or a telemarketer as I am not enrolled in any school. My cell is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry and I am reporting them. They have called me 3-4 times in one day.

I have to answer the phone as spouse and son are both looking for work and caller i.d. doesn't always display. They are rude- asked to speak to my husband by name, when I asked to take a message they stated that they wanted to speak to "whoever is considering going to school." I then stated that I would be happy to take a message and they hung up on me. Five hours later they called back and when they asked to speak to my husband again (I recognized the background noises), I hung up on them. If you can avoid it don't answer this number.

Keeps calling me as well without voicemail. If it was really important they would leave a voicemail. Still don't know who it is.

Got yet another call from this number and it again was Ashley I spoke with. This time I flipped my lid and shouted "this is the 5th call in an hour and a half and apparently I wasn't clear enough the last time DON'T EVER CALL ME AGAIN!!!!!" I'm calling Navy Legal and finding out my options. This is total BS!

Yes they are rude!!!! This girl Ashley that I spoke with before was obnoxious and kept interrupting me. I told her listen here girl I don't allow my kids to be rude and interior people and I'm certainly not going to take it from you. I'd say grow up but my kids are 3 and 4 1/2 and they understand the concept so seeing you're MUCH older than my preschoolers you're screwed! Then I hung up. I'd had all of her rudeness I was taking.

Got a 4th call from them within an hour and the girl didn't answer who she was calling for or care or answer when I asked why they had called 4x in an hour starting at 8am. She just said "I understand you're frustrated but is just like to ask you a few questions to find out which school is best for you." I cut her off and said I'm a 30 yr old mom running my own business and if you can't tell me who's calling don't ever call again!

Got three calls from this company between eight and 8:30 AM and they didn't even message any of the three times.  Googled it to see who it was since it was a Connecticut phone number and I live 3000 miles away in Washington and apparently there are a number of people who gets random calls from this number.

And consider buying a call blocker, either device or phone. The DNC can't protect you from the illegal calls we get since the illegal callers don't obey laws.

We've gotten calls from these people for the past few days.  They have called between two and three times a day asking for my son.  When he answers, they hang up.  I've called back and gotten the option to have them stop calling me or to continue receiving the calls.  Of course I requested that the calls stop, and yet we got another call today.  I don't know who these people are but how do we report them and get the calls to stop.

2)  If it's so important that they speak to a prospective student, why do they hang up?

Whoever it is, if they are a legitimate organization, they are unprofessional and rude.

This is the Central Connecticut State University academic advising office - If you get accepted in to the university and are late to sign up for classes they start calling you.

Just got a call from this number. My phone says it's a New Haven number, and I go to a college near there, so I figured it was someone from there so that's why I answered, though I didn't particularly know the phone number and haven't given anyone at my school my number. I said "hello" twice and no one said anything. I heard noises in the background, but no voices. The person hung up after my second "hello."

I got two calls from this number on Sunday, 11/10 about an hour apart.  I have no idea who this is.

I just got 2 calls from this number, 5 minutes apart, and can't answer while I'm working. I live in CT which is mostly 860 area code. 203 is in the far southwest corner and only covers less than 1/4 of the state. I'm positive I don't know anyone there.

Just got a robot sounding gentleman calling me, not sure what he was saying because it was a horrible voice caller thing sounded automated but not....probably one of those other country solicitations told them to do not call me and hung up - second solicitation this morning in less than 5 minutes! (medcare was the first)

I've received three calls from this number.  There is no answer, just a beep then it hangs up.

Got a call from this number asking for my daughter, who lives in another state.  When I told the caller that, she said she would call again another time.
