Got 2 calls from this number.  I didn't pick up because it's probably telemarketers.  Stop calling!!

I got a call from this number, they said they are from the ANARCHIST GROUP OF CANADA and kept asking if i was in a secure area on a cell phone. very strange.

In the past 2 weeks I have received 3 calls from 204-989-8235. I live in Nova Scotia & don't know anybody in Manitoba, so haven't answered it! When I call back this number there is never anyone to speak with in person, just a Voice Message for Seal Centre for Energy Management. I don't do Phone Surveys, nor do I talk to numbers I don't recognize.

Well I have a survey company calling my home for at least 4 months - any time of day from 8:00 am to 9:20 pm - Monday through to Sunday.  The have never left a message and I do not answer as I am not interested in doing surveys.  I may have answered months ago and hung up when I got "dead air" ...  If that is the case then who can I contact to report them?

NRG Research group. Winnipeg call center.

They called me at 9:20 pm in the Eastern US last night from Winnipeg to say they were surveying lapsed AAA members.  When I said I was current they said that was all they needed to know.  Now are they using my AAA benefits and getting a tow or bailout?  How is it that a Canadian company is calling US numbers?  I am on the US do not call list.

got a call from that number twice this weekend this time no one was on the line.

'Lois' called me today from this number, saying she is calling from a survey company called 'Praxis', (not NRG).  And, she said they were calling to ask my opinions on Drilling for oil and gas in the Beaufort Sea.  She said they had been hired by an oil company to do this survey.  I did the survey, it took half an hour!  She did seem to be writing down my comments and trying to get them correct.  It did seem like a real survey, but not a very well constructed survey and kind of all over the map.

They called me today. Thank God I'm with Rogers I just placed them on my blocked calls list.

Keep getting calls from this number just about the same time every evening.  Am about to block it, but wanted to let others know.  No one ever talks when we answer the phone, so I'm not sure what they gain...Just won't answer anymore if this number registers!

As others have already found out - it's NRG research group.   However, this call was concerning "Farm Safety" , specifically confined spaces.

I just got a call too. They said in was an energy something survey and wanted to talk to the male of the house. I said I said I was not interested , and he said he was not asking to talk to me.

I hung up.

KB - if it was a survey, then often the numbers are randomly dialed - the phone number dialed doesn't have to be listed or unlisted.

Randomly dialed ( for any given region or area code ) means just that - random - a computer generates a number and dials whoever or whatever is at the other end; that's how they ensure that they are selecting random people to give their opinion (or decline) a survey- they don't look up names in phone books, they just select a region (area) and dial a random series of 7 numbers - unbiased. Government and businesses alike recognize the value of public input and consultation, so surveys (random and otherwise) are permitted under CRTC regulations - but remember - YOU never have to participate if you do not wish to; surveys are always voluntary (but they are allowed and obligated to give you the opportunity to participate IF you choose to do so). And most survey companies maintain a 'never call again list' because they are dialing random numbers and they don't want to disturb the same people again who will never consent to do a survey anyway.

I had a missed call from them at 10 pm. no msg was left.

NRG Canada called at 9 pm on my cell, wouldn't tell me how they got my number. said they were doing a survey but wouldn't tell me what for and asked my age...i told them i wasn't comfortable telling them and he said he had no more questions. Their website said they only get numbers from local telephone directories....obviously not true since my cell number certainly isn't in there.

i have been getting calls from this number for three weeks they call every other night. they never leave a message and the one time i answered there was nothing on the other end i tried calling back once but they was no answer and no voicemail

Every Saturday they try to call me on my work cell, never answered...

they just called me. i thought it said energy research. asked me if i had a safe place to talk. i said ya and thought she was guna tell me some secret s*** about some energy research they were doin. then they asked if i was 21 to 25? i was like no. then shes like nevermind thats all i have to ask you. i was like am i in danger or something? but she hung up. i was like what the f*** the government is after me or something. then i googled the number and found this. now i realise she was asking if i had a safe place to talk as in im not driving or anything. and i also realise i smoke too much weed its making me paranoid.
