Scam... I filed a complaint multiple times with the FTC...

I got a phone call from this number today.  I didnt answer the phone b/c I didnt recognize nothing about the number.  Hopefully they dont call back.

Repeated phone calls. Hang up when I answer. Grrrrr.

I keep getting a call from POA Georgia No one on line when i answer the call. They keep calling here and I want it to stop..

get same call from 205-402-4779 and only hangs up when answered.  Tried calling back and appears in coming calls are blocked.

I keep getting phone calls from this number and when I answer it hangs up on me. A person used me as a referance for a loan years ago. Apparently they are behind. They kept calling me every other day and leaving messages for this person. I called the place back and told them her phone number and asked to be removed from being her contact number,and ever since I have been getting these call and hang ups.Also from205-402-4707,205-402-4823, and some others.

When the machine picked up caller hung up.

Called at 7:04 PM, 10/24/10.  Soliciting funds for the Peace Officers Association of Georgia for widows and families of those officers killed in the line of duty.  If this is legitimate it is a worthwhile cause.  A check with the Georgia State Patrol Headquarters should be able to provide the legitimacy of this fund raiser.

This number called for me and the person asked for me by my full name. The number seemed fishy to me and the man's voice sounded almost like it wasbeing disguised, so I said that "she" wasn't here and then they asked for my husband (not by name). I said he was not available then I asked who was calling and if I could take a message and they said they'd call back at another time and hung up.
When I tried to call the number back, a recording said something about the call not being made from a "special" phone.
What is that about?

This number has called my home several times, but I never get an answer.  Tried calling back, but recording stated call had to be made from a "special" phone.  I would dearly love to know who this jackal is.

I too have gotten several calls from this number and they do answer me when I pick up the phone.  Usually, a polite "I do not give money over the phone" stops the calls.  From what I can gather, they are a paid fundraiser for the Protective Order of something or other.  The non-profit they are fundraising for may be here in GA, but the number is a Northern Alabama number - which means that very little of the money raised will go to the charity (if the charity even exists).  I also believe since they are raising money for a charity, they are exempt from the FCC rules and can call anyone whether on the Do Not Call list or not.

Will call and either not speak or hang up.  I am on the do not call national registry list and you are in FCC violation.  I am filing a complaint with them and everywhere else possible.

This number keeps calling - no message - says nothing.  Up to no good!

I scan my elderly mothers calls. When you call and will not leave a message or give your name. you just hang up.
