Got a call from this number yesterday. The lady said from Verizon inquiring me to confirm my address. Strange!

I just recieved a phone call from some lady saying she was Verizon Wireless.  She had my name and wanted to verify my address.  I told her I have had Verizon for 10 years and they know my phone number.

I am calling Verizon right now to advise them of this fraud.

My boyfriend was receiving calls from a woman (Camilla was what she said her name was) claiming to be with Verizon. Same number. The woman was calling my boyfriend's line and not mine. So I called Verizon to file the report. I also emailed my family to inform them what is happening.

I all of a sudden started getting some weird calls on my Verizon cell phone, first several times from the number 954-671-6946 (You won a $1000 shopping spree (a big scam, have to subscribe to some weird magazine etc.)... I just answered it the first time, and told the person I think this is a scam and then he hanged up on me), the next day the number 205-510-3120 started calling me, I was at work and couldn't answer the call, but they never left me a message.

AAAAAAAH! sucker called AS i was sending that last post! i picked up with "funny you should call as i'm reading how bogus you are online"

they said nothing

i hung up

I just got this call from this so called Verizon. I didn't pick up but they left a generic voicemail on the phone.

I just got the same generic phone call, I don't even get a paper bill anymore and I haven't moved in a long time, but my bill as returned ha ha not got trick me, Verizon would send a text message and would only have you call customer service not a bogus 1-800 number, snd the headquarters is not in Alabama.

i got the call and confirmed my address before googling it...bad idea... but none the less.  

When i called verizon though, they confirmed the call.

FYI ... 205-510-3120 is a legit Verizon Wireless phone number.

I'm not sure if someone is spoofing the phone number and trying to scam folks but I received a call from this number and it was legit.  I did not answer but they left a voicemail telling me my recently requested refund was approved and processed.  I had a billing problem and they refunded ~ $250 and they were calling to let me know the news.

I got the same call and confirmed my address, and then thought, "wait, how do I know that was actually Verizon?" So I called *611 from my cell and confirmed the call with customer service. They told me that yes, it was legit. However, if you're ever concerned about giving out info when a strange number calls you, you could always just hang up and call *611.

I was called on 2-06-09 - the 205-510-3120 number is a legit Verizon Wireless
call number.  I called *611 and verified it.  They even had the message the girl left with them on their system.  I was relieved. - - no worries.  (they verified address too - though I didn't give it at the time - I waited and dialed in to Verizon and clarified it first).

I also just recieved a call from this number and as I was reading this I checked the voicemail they said it was to verify my address which is what I just read .. they said that they needed to send out a customer agreement form and needed to verify my address .. odd .

I just got a call at work from this number.  I haven't called it back.  usually i get text messages sent to my phone if its a verizon 'inquiry'.  odd

Birmingham, AL five calls in a row can't call back it says this number is not in service. The message they leave says their verizon. Someone needs to do some thing about this s***.

We got a call from someone saying they were from Verizon on 1/20/10, and they told me that we were getting a full credit on our cell phone bill. They did not ask for any personal information. And we called back the number which was 205-510-3120 and it was disconnected. I am wondering why they didn't want any personal info if they are crooks. What do they get out of just telling me I have a full credit refund on my account and ending the phone call? It's as if they were confirming I was the account holder or something.

I received a call from this number right after I called Verizon inquiring about a package I had ordered today. They just wanted to let me know that my package did in fact ship out and gave me all the info. Very helpful. But this number will also call when you are past due on a bill....

These are CRIMINALS attempting to get information from you.  Do not give them anything.  I've already reported them to Verizon.

Got this call yesterday.  Reverse look up states Alabama.  They left a message saying they were from Verizon and that they got a confirmation letter back in the mail and needed to validate my address.  :She left an 800 number that I had just called for tech support a day earlier.  800-922-0204  So, feels right.

I called Verizon Wireless instead to ask them who and why am I getting calls from the 205-510-3120. I spoke to a Pamela from their customer service dept, and she looked it up. IT IS NOT FROM VERISZON. She said it was from a company called Bell South. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFO!!!!!!

I too received a call from (205) 510-3120 on at least three ocassions asking me to validate my postal mailing address for some mail returned to them.

My first thought is V should have my address as I get my snail mail billings each month.  They also asked for my account password.

Just received a call from this number.  It's Verizon Wireless customer service.

I got this same call on 10/22/08 and something just didn't feel right about it especially when he asked me for the last 4 digits of my ss#.  So I made up four digits and when he didn't say anything to me about it not matching my real last 4 numbers I knew it was a hoax.  I did give them a friends (non-verizon customer) address also.

So my friend got something from Verizon at his house with a postmark from zip code 35210 (Birmingham AL).  Inside the envelope was a pamphlet from Verizon Wireless - it's a Customer Proprietary Network Information Notice pamphlet.  The pamphlet and the envelope are both Verizon Wireless material.  There is a phone number on the paperwork as well.  1-800-333-9956

This is Verizon Wireless Customer Service.  They called me because I had some issues they really took care of for me.

So i got this call, and i heard children in the background and hung up immediately.
This person called back and left a voice mail
The mail says something about a 1-88 number and a letter about a change in address information
I did not change my address information or called any of these numbers backs


This is about as gay as the track your dollar bill thing..............

Got a Call from this number at work and was asked if I was there, at that point I knew it was a debt collector, because even after I hung up the phone I tried to call it back and got the disconnect message.  This is a new trick that debt collectors use so that they do not have to answer our calls and be harrased, they just want it to be onesided where they are do the harrasing.

Same here, my boss stepped away from her desk and the number called her cell. We listened to the voicemail and it was the creepiest voicemail recorded in a man's voice saying "Caalll Mmeee" too weird for us...
Tried to call the number back and it said disconnected, so whoever is on here saying it is legit must be in on it. Don't you think Verizon would leave a more professional message? And how did they get this info, sounds like they have a serious security breech.

Individual called from this number claiming to be Alexis from Verizon Wireless.  She stated that a starter package was mailed to me and returned.  I needed to call *5611 to verify my address.

First I called *5611 just to comfirm it was Verizon and *5-611 does not go to Verizon.   Therefore I called Verizon to verify the inquiry.

VERIZON STATED THAT THIS WAS A PHONE SCAM TO GET PERSONAL INFORMATION.  DO NOT GIVE THE CALLER ANY INFORMATION.  THEY ALSO STATED THAT IF YOU ARE UNSURE ABOUT THE CALL, HANG-UP AND CALL VERIZON BACK DIRECTLY.

received call from 2055103120 on my minneapolis cell phone 9/8/08 @ 6:42 pm; reverse look up says its a land line, but gives no other info; i will not call it back.
