Got a call from this number, but did not answer and they did not leave a message.

These jokers can spoof your caller ID.  They can make it display any number, functional or not.  If they wanted to they could send 123-456-7890.
If you don't know the number.  Let voicemail catch it.  You can always call back if the call is/was legit..

Received a call from this number just now.  It only rang once than it stopped.

Same here. Did not answer. Looked it up & blocked it, as if that will actually do any good!

Received call two nights in a row. Only rang once.  Just entered it into my address book with the others assigned as SPAM so I'll know not to boether with it.

Been getting calls and it rings 1-2 then hangs up. I won't answer or call back. News had been reporting phone scams about these kind of calls from out of area numbers. They (the caller) wants you to call back then they attach to your number sometimes adding a monthly fee to your mobile service. If you called them back, I would suggest you check with your cell carrier and make sure your account is okay. I don't answer or call back any numbers I don't know. If it's important, they'll leave a message.

I have had several calls from 205-530-3039, no message is left when it goes to voicemail and no one is on the line when I pickup. The call is dropped when I answer.

I got this call, but by the time I tried to p/u the call, it hung up on me after 1 ring!!!  

Rang once then hung up. Added to my reject list.

Several "ring once" events, but did not pick up and did not call back.  WhitePages says it's a VOIP number in Jasper, AL, but with VOIP, it could originate from anywhere.  Seems like it's a phone-phishing scam.  Don't bother calling them back.

2nd time in a week that they called. Rang once and never called back. Good thing I checked here before calling back.

Just got the call when I picked up the phone there was no answer and it hung up. Called back says press 1 to receive gift so I did. Some lady said I could win $100 gift card for Wal-Mart or target and I picked Wal-Mart. I was getting a shady feeling but ignored it. So then she starts talking about I need to sign up for theft protection for $7 for this week and can cancel. told her I did not want it. She said if I want my money I'll have to get it and started asking for my address and information then I said I don't need it. She was getting irrataded and try to convince me to get it then I said no and hung up

Got a call from this unknown area code and number. Didn't answer and they didn't leave a voicemail.

got the call this morning, did *67 and called it back. machine said "reward redemption" and they had gotten my number from a web site I had visited. The last one said I had signed up for a trip and they got my number from there.

Phone rang. Checked Caller ID. Didn't recognize the number.  Didn't answer.  Done.  No muss.  No fuss. Not much time taken up with nonsense.  
Didn't pick up to let the caller(s) know that it was a viable number. Didn't listen to find out what accent was used or what the purpose of the call was.  Didn't care then.  Don't care now.
Didn't get upset if the DNC was adhered to (I'm on it but scammers will find ways to get around it) or what Obama is going to do about it. Didn't take the time to call back.
I have a life and instead of getting bent out-of-shape, morally indignant, cursing and slamming the phone down, and making this a big deal (instead of the small irritant that I choose to make it), I move on with my life.  I'm in charge of what takes up my time.
In fact, typing this took up more of my time--for a good reason.
That's just what I do. Simple.  More power for me (and you, dear posters, if you follow my lead)!
