Love to get more calls from these slime balls, after all I'm retired and love it when someone who violates the law has to give me money because their stupid and want to collect by calling me. If enought people sue them for their actions and collect in small claims court or just sue, maybe Steve will get an honest trade to go into, for being a slime ball scavengenging debt collector will not be profitable here in the future. BE SMART PEOPLE!

They're identity thieves. They called telling me I had multiple felony warrants for retail fraud and they were giving me one chance to settle up or I was going to be arrested. If you are going to be arrested, they aren't going to call ahead! I played along, pretending to be freaking out. They said it must be someone else and tried everything to get my personal information.

It's bogus. They create non-existant delinquent accounts. When people say they have the wrong person, they try to wrangle personal information out of them to verify the "mistaken identity." I played along with one of these and they tried everything to get my social security number, birthdate and address.

That Ms Walker is a rude, nasty, and evil beyoutch. I have had her scream at me and threaten me as well. I now have her number on blocked calls. She never identifies the company she works for if you answer your phone and she never, ever leaves a message !!! She needs to be stopped !!!

Six months ago, I received a wage garnishment from these jokers for a supposed unpaid Capital One debt from 1997. I had moved around quite a bit over the last few years and never received notification from the court that a lawsuit was even filed. I went to the court and paid to get a copy of the records and found that they had "served" some "unknown male" who resided at one of my former addresses. By the time I found out about it and researched all of this, it was too late to contest it in court and wound up having to pay them $3000 to prevent my wages from being garnished.

Now I just received another call from them TODAY, although I did not answer. Does it ever end?! I agree with the previous post, GO TO COURT if you're served with papers. Don't wait. Otherwise the court WILL award them a settlement and wage garnishment. Portfolio Recovery will purposely wait years to file in order to come in just under the legal deadlines.

Got a call from this number this morning. They left a voicemail, which turned out to be 25 seconds of silence. Glad I checked this site out, I'll now know to keep an eye on these types of calls.

They have been calling me for a year saying they bought a debt from a dentist- Dale Entrekin- in Montgomery from 2009. Problem is that I never owed him anything. My insurance company says I owed him a copay (which I paid) and they paid the rest. I did a debt validation letter and they couldn't validate the debt (because it wasn't valid).  They are still trying to collect, which is illegal.  Unfortunately it hasn't become so annoying that it is worth it to sue them... yet.  

Keep calling, I don't answer & they don't leave a message. Thank you to everyone for the info, gonna block the number, as far as I know a all my past due debts have finally been paid off.

It is Portfolio recovery. They have been trying to recover a 14 year old debt that has fallen off of my HUSBANDS credit. They are trying to call him THROUGH ME?! The debt was 3/4 of the way paid off and we fell on hard times and couldn't pay off the rest. REALLY?! 14 years later? this company is the worst of the worst. We have worked hard to get our credit back on track, and are still working on it, but these people are ruthless...

I'm tired of these jerks calling me.

I got a call from them and they asked for my husband, when I said he wasn't available and I was his wife, the lady wouldn't talk to me, so I blocked the call!
