This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

I received the same call stating that if I knew what was good for me that I would return their call and pay them. I have no idea who they are and I have not taken out a loan. How did they get my info??

I keep receiving these calls saying the same thing.
Reading all of these and seeing how it might be or is a scam actually puts my mind on ease. Thank you guys.

Same here about some loan I didn't get nor recieve.. How they got my info is beyond me

They called my job too with some trumped up charges.  I yelled at them over the weekend and when I got to work they had left a message Friday.  So I called back to see how they got my info and when I told then I didn't even have a checking account,  he blurted out we won't call you again.  I called right back and he yelled at me that he would never call me again and had the nerve to tell me to stop harassing him and let him work!

I just keep getting a call from this 2056905762 talking about I'm going to jail if I don't give them 450.00 I will be pick up for fraud I don't have a loan with America cash online I Google this#and tthis is a scam

I keep receiving calls from this number,  Today they called me at my work and threatened to arrest me.  It was a James Washington from Lloyd and Becker Legal Associates.  I blocked the number.

The exact same as the individual; however, they called my place of work. I told them I wanted everything in writing.

Search American Cash Loans/Lending and you will see they are a scam.

I received a call from this number on 6/5/14. Was told it was the office of Lloyd and Baker and that a law suit was filed against me on 3 different charges, Federal Banking allegations, check fraud, and something else. Books name was Nelson. The law suit was from American Cash Lending regarding a loan I never had. They had my SS# and other personal information on me how, I do not know. Said money was stolen by me.  I to was scared and was almost going to pay them the discounted fee of $350.00.  I did research and found it to be a scam. I have blocked that number and 3 others I believe to be them. I also put a fraud alert on my credit report. They threatened arrest, and other things if I did not pay. DO NOT ANSWER CALLS from 205 area  code, is a SCAM...

I received a call from a place claiming they were a law firm that answered the phone "law firm" no name or anything!! Claiming that I owed money for a loan that I didn't sign up for or even receive! I was told that if I didn't pay this amount by 3:30 today, (mind you it was 2pm when they called) that a warrant would be put out for my arrest and that I would b taken to court after I was picked up. When I started freaking out about not having the $650 they were charging me and saying that I'll just have to dispute it in court, the man, (who named himself Tony Brown with an Indian accent) started yelling at me because I wasn't paying that amount today. He asked me to ask people for the money if I didn't have it then all of a sudden he gave me an extension until 12:30pm tomorrow. I was scared shitless. After much research and reading the reviews I am now convinced this was a scam. They prey on innocent and kind people like myself and I'm still hoping no officer or anything comes to my job tomorrow because I'll be out of town! This is a nightmare! It just happened this afternoon!! NEVER AGAIN
