I received a message from this number on my work voicemail twice this week.  The person who left the messages used my name and stated she was calling from the Academy of Art in San Francisco and was calling to follow up on my request for information about the school.  I've never requested such information, and I wonder how they got my name and my work nubmer.

this number called me at like 6am...twice!!  very annoying.  

and no, they did not leave a message.  

i dialed them back and found out it was the academy of art.

i had requested info from them, but i assumed they would send me items in the mail, that's it.

in any case, i called them and requested that they remove me from thier list.

This number has called me incessantly for the last 4 weeks - at least 2x per week. The message they leave is: "This message is from Michael, I am calling on behalf of the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, or if I woke up when your request for more information about the university. Please return our call that 1(800) 544-2787 Thank you."

I never requested such information and finally called the 1-800 number today to be removed from the list. The operator asked me for my phone number and then my name and said she couldn't locate me on the list. She then asked me for my birth date which I was extremely reluctant to give her. "Why do you need that - I never even requested info so that shouldn't be in there?" I asked. Her response: "Well someone may have requested information using your name and phone number."

Riggght. Their tactics are incredibly obnoxious!

Academy of Arts University in San Francisco, CA calls incessantly! How can you make it S T O P?? I never signed up for anything from them and got a HUGE course catalog yesterday. How do you get a live person??

They've called me a few times, I always forwarded it to my voicemail. It is Academy of Art U... They sent me a 3 lb course sched. and catalog and a DVD for the 10-11 year... Good school.

I also requested more information.

This number is Kaiser University.  205-776-6862.  I requested info from them because I was looking into their nursing program.  They called me 5 times a day for a week.  When I finally got a "real" person (she woke me up at 6am) I asked her to please not call me before noon.  SO she called at 12:15, 2:04, 8:49, and 9:18.  Needless to say, I will NOT be attending college there due to their harassment.

Academy of Art. Called for my daughter (a sr in hs). Left msg on my vm. Erased msg and blocked from my cell.

Academy of Arts University in San Francisco, CA. They continue to call me, but I don't care to talk to them. I just wanted the brochure.

Called today Aug. 5, 2009, 9:55AM, hung up.

Called today Aug. 3, 2009, 12:53PM, after 2 rings hung up. Earlier call was July 30, 2009, 9:08AM no response.

some schools will call because you got a good score on your S.A.T's or even your P.S.A.T's and some will call because you might have filled out something requesting information.

yeah. i applied to the Academy of Art in CA like half an hour ago and then got a call from this number ten minutes after. i didn't answer but they did leave a voicemail telling me it was them and to call back a different number. it's kind of weird.

I just got a call from this number, they didn't leave a message. But I searched the number and found this page. I have just applied to the Academy of Art University in California. So I assume that it is possible that this number is them, but why they don't leave messages I don't know.

i answered the phone and they hung up.

They called me claiming to be an Academy of Art. They asked for me by name, so I'm trying to figure out how they got my number. Anyway, I didn't answer but hung up.

Academy of Art.  Maybe a call center from Birmingham, AL.  Call all the time.
