The number keeps calling me at work and when i call back it says disconnected.  When i answer they hang up on me.

I got a call on 2/9/08 from someone claiming to be from the us government saying I was going to get 600 dollars for six months. all i had to do was give them my bank name and checking number.  i immediately cursed daniel, the caller and hung up.  I may have been born at night but i wasn't born last night.  lol

3/3/2008 received a call claiming to be International Gateway selling Satellite TV service.  When I asked for a name and address and reminded them I was on the "Do Not call Registry" He hung up.  Scam at best.

Called twice today, once from the INTL Gateway 205-994-2391 number, 2nd time from 011914023552931 number with Unknown name.
Nothing said first time... loud static 2nd time.

Yes, you'd think Verizon would do something about this.

Oh BTW - Thanks to Bham Sheriff/s for posting interesting information. Too bad this regular citizen can't put such interesting information to better use!! Interesting.

I have had it come up likewise as internatl gateway and as just the number itself, depending if its cell or landline. When I answer they say nothing, but this happens a LOT to me anyway,though I admit, I don't hang on the phone waiting for slow people to respond to my "Hello (w/ very brief pause)..and..HELLO!" (then comes the point when I wish I had the old fashion phone which allows you to take the hand-set and thrust it 'cradled-down' on the main unit with loud "Crash/Bang" sound, thus venting some degree of frustration!)
Why doesn't some one forward these messages to Verizon and let them investigate--at least request it be done. Seems to me that Verizon should be notified and given this info. If they elect to ignore this so be it, if not then all the better - maybe they will be able to effect some positive change that we are otherwise unable to effect. Assuming JeffCo Sheriff can do nothing which I suspect is the case.
If you are a Verizon customer then I believe you ought to report this (according to my value systems/Ethics which is not particularly germane to this discussion). If one has info that suggest the person is representing business then one 'ought' report that to the approp. authority, e.g. the B.B.B., et al, and etc, etc. Thanks.

I received a phone call while at work from that number.  I  tried to call it back and it was it was no longer in service.  I started to investigate the number on the internet and ran into this site.  I am glad that I am not the only one getting calls from this number.

Got a call from 530 pm and did not answer..call back and disconnected message....

This number keeps showing up on my cell phone, too. I get the same recording as everyone else--discontinued number.

THIS NUMBER CAME THROUGH ON MY CELL.  IF I DON'T KNOW WHO IT IS I WILL NOT ANSWER IT.  LOOKED UP THE NUMBER ON THE INTERNET AND CAME ACROSS THIS SITE.  CALLED THE NUMBER BACK AND IT SAID THE NUMBER WAS DISCONNECTED OR NO LONG IN SERVICE.

This number keeps calling my cell phone as well. I called back and of course it says the number is disconnected. I looked it up in the reverse phone number lookup and it says it is registered with verizon.

This phone number, 205-994-2391, shows register to International Gateway Level 11C.  Alabama wireline.  This shows that the calls are coming from out of the USA.  This number has been associated with some very OBSCENE phone calls after trying to act like a sales person.  The person making the calls has a very heavy accent.  If you recieve a call from this number, hang up - if you would like, call 205-325-5700 Jefferson County Sheriff's Office Birmingham Alabama, ask to report a call from this number

I got this message also and I called it back and like the other person it was disconnected. Sounds kinda funny...

Just heard a message on a radio talk show.  Person said that they were from Medicaid and wanted detailed information.  Address, birthdate, SSN, bank account info etc.

I got a call from this number today on my cell. After reading this post I called it back to see what was said and a message said that the number had been disconected.

Caller says that he is calling from Gold Coast Casino and wants you to agree to something but you can't understand him.  Claims you have won millions of dollars.  when we let the answering machine pick up he left a message calling us a bi***.

I have received calls from this number, but when I answer nobody speaks, when I call it, I get a response of "invalid" number.
