I also got this email about a posting from craigslist. I am afraid to agree to it.

i had the same number try to scam me under the name jane on craigslist beware.

DO NOT trust people you cannot meet in real life on craigslist when selling items. I have reported this same number/person to paypal, the FTC, & the BBB.

I hope they didn't fool you? Nigerian scammers are so common now online, our government needs to be made aware!

Thanks to everyone for providing a heads up on this woman.  I listed a ring for sale on craigslist and she sent the following email.  I di send her a money request but then quickly cancelled it after googling her.  Should I put a fraud alert on my credit card still?

same thing happened to me..there is a rosalynnuzzle@hotmail,com and msn.com..she was offering to pay more for my watch but was very nasty when I didn't send it right a way. Glad I Googled the name.

Call FTC.GOV there are a lot of scams going on right now....I also received calls from this number and a 760 number and reported to ftc.gov. I would also place a fraud alert on your credit report if you think they may have some personal info.... it is free for 90 days and then you can resubmit. If they have your cc info call and cancel the account right away and report it they can issue you another account number. hope this helps.

ya know, as i read her email (the exact same as above, from janelovex1@googlemail.com) all i could think of was the old saying: if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. as much as i wanted to reach out and grab the shiny pence dangling before me, something told me to google her and voila! here i am, among all of you, glad to have found out beforehand.

And for the record, I have a feeling that our friend Chris ^^ up there is probably Jane herself.

How funny! I posted a piece of jewelry on craigslist and got exactly the same message. This was months ago. It is December now, and she actually had the nerve to FIND ME on google chat (which I never use) and message me about the "phone" that I had listed. She didn't even have enough brains to remember what I originally posted. She told me she was going to call the cops on me if I didn't send her the "phone." I told her to go ahead and call! She kept telling me she had put the money in my account and paypal had told her that the money was pending and blahblahblah. I told her that until the money was in my hands being spent, I wasn't sending her anything. This was all through google chat. lol. What a moron.

Wow! You sir are an idiot. The shipping address is in Nigeria which is known for scamming & being a hostile country. I seriously hope you didn't send any items because you will soon find out that the payment is fraudulent. I have submitted this phone number & multiple emails to paypal, the FTC, & the BBB.

my call went exactly as the ones listed abouve.  wanting to pay for the item with paypal and pay shipping.  etc.  so glad i found this site

I got the same e-mail from a post on craigslist. For mine she used JaneLovex3@gmail.com

Today I received the same exact email for an Ipod Touch that I listed on Craigslist in the San Luis Obispo, CA section.  She didn't even change one word from other scamming emails.  Some people are not that bright.

she used email: janelovex1@googlemail.com,  to an ad I placed on craigslist:

I posted a craigslist ad and this number emailed me back with the janelovex1@gmail.com a woman named jane and she wants me to ship my item to her and fake payment. do not trust her!
