If this is Jayshree Patel rather than "Patel Jayshree..."  If you look at this number on the whocalled.us site, one of the collected caller ID names is "Jayshree Patel."  There is an attorney named Jayshree Patel that specializes in immigration law/visas in Edison, NJ (http://www.patellaw.com/).

"The Immigration services offered from our office, are in several categories like H1B, L category, Business visas, labor certification and Green card processing on employment basis, F1, K, L visa processing, Family based petitions, International adoptions, Citizenship etc."

Riddle me this:  Why is an attorney who specializes in what sounds like shady immigration cases trying to phish for bank account information over the phone?

Oh...That's not good.

I get calls from this number 5x a day to my cell phone. Sometimes it leaves a voicemail. Finally I answered it. I heard a guy say hello then a recording about a platinum credit card came on. I listened and punched in the option to take me off the list. THIS DOES NOT WORK!!!!!!! They still call. I have reported them several times to the do not call list.

Yeah I get the same thing.  Everytime they call I cfile a complaint to the No call registry.  Bet they will love the almost 50,000 dollar fine.  Think next time will respond as the San Diego polic department and see what they do.  Otherwise will continue to report it to the No call registry.   Maybe the dumbasses will get the hint.

WOW.. i am SO glad i found this!! They've been calling me 4-5 times a day for about 3 weeks now too.. I haven't answered it, they haven't left any messages.. all i knew was that it's a new jersey exchange. I'd been getting those "platinum card" calls from other numbers, but they'd leave a voicemail.. arrgh.. wondering how they got my cell # since i NEVER use it as a contact number.

I am about ready to go out of my mind from the calls I get from this phone number. They also call my 81 year old mom who is on her deathbed in the front room. The guy says "Hellloooo-ooww and then switches me to some recorded sales message.

I have called my cell phone company and they can't do a thing about it. I called the police and found out that unless tthe person says he is going to kill me...they can't do anything about it.

I registered with the donotcall.gov website and have to wait 31 days to make a complaint.

I am amazed that the phone company won't or can't block this number. When I told the phone company that I was going to have to change my phone number
and have to get all my business cards and stationary changed, they decided to take $30 off my phone bill. That was nice, but this rat-as* b*****d has already caused me a $1,000 nervous breakdown...because everytime I get woken up by a phone call I think someone is caslling to say my mom just died.

If I can ever catch these people I am going to do some type of damage to them (lawsuit or whatever...though I've actually been driven to the point of wanting to punch this guy's teeth in).

There has to be a better way of blocking unwanted calls than having to spend hours talking to the phone company, police and the donotcal.gov thing.

At least, today, I see that I am not the only one having this problem.
Thanks for listening. I am going crazy from this guy.

I've read every post about this caller. The voice that says "hello" is just a recording. It is no use trying to talk to him or yell at him. No real human is on the line. If you say anything, your voice (sometimes) activates the recorded sales pitch about the credit card they are trying to offer you. Half of the time the sales pitch recording doesn't even get activated and it seems like someone is calling just to say hello and stays on the line in silence.

If you do hear the sales pitch recording, you will never be able to talk to a live human being. They ask for your personal identity numbers. If you decide to apply for their credit card (thinking you will be able to get their phone number or address) you will be charged $139.00.

This company has figured out how to use loopholes and automation to bypass the 'do not call registery'.

There is no logic to the pattern of calls. You might think some live human is just calling to bother you. Or you will wonder why the caller is silent. Or you will wonder why they keep calling you back. You are just a potential buyer who is being contacted by an automated sales system. They will keep calling you until you sign up for their pre-paid credit card.

They are bunko, con-artists who will keep bothering you forever.

The police won't be able to help you. Your cell phone service will say they don't have the abilty to block the number. The Do Not Call Registery will not work against them. They have figured out how to bypass the system completely. You will go berserk from all these same calls coming from this number. Your phone provider will just tell you to change your phone number, and you will have to spend all your time having to contact friends and family about your new number. You will also have to have your checks re-printed by your bank. You will have to buy new business cards and stationary to list your new phone number. Eventually, this company will start calling your new phone number - because they buy phone numbers from someplace that you apparently do business with. They will eventually be calling you again and all your effort at getting a new number will have been wasted.

There is nothing that can be done about this caller. Don't bother playing games with them, blowing whistles into the phone, cussing or saying you will call the police or FBI, or FTC, FCC or the President. No one is listening. It is all just a robotic, automated, fraudulent system.

AT&T won't help block your calls. They advertise a 'call blocking feature' on their website, but say it probably won't work on your cell phone.

All-in-all, the crooks have won and beaten you and your phone provider and the DNC and FCC.

You will just have to look at your phone to screen out the numbers of all your incoming calls. If you sleep in the daytime (like I have to) it will be hard to focus your eyes everytime you get woken up. Still, this is what you will have to do. From now on, you will have to check every incoming phone number to see if it is someone you actually know or if it is this telemarketer.

You might have to see your doctor and get some traqulizers to deal with the frustration. You might need to go to Radio Shack and buy a (non-phone company)walkie-talkie with a 10 mile signal and give them to each member of your immediate family. You might have to give up cell phones altogether and start using public pay-phones, if you can find them anywhere. Be careful using outdoor payphones though, because low-life, crackheads will hit you up for money.

Being that the 'billion dollar cell-phone companies' say they don't have the technology to block these calls their is not much you can do.

As for me, I have given up on trying to get this matter solved. I've spent about 15 hours, this week, trying to solve this problem. It can't be solved. All you'll be able to do is post your frustrations on websites like this one. I think I am going to go buy an old-fashioned Beeper tomorrow, because some scam-artists have beaten me down and AT&T can't do a single thing to solve this problem for me. It's not my job to figure this problem out. They don't care. Neither does any other cell phone company. All those wizards can't even figure out how to block this caller from calling you. The government agancies (supposedly in charge) can't stop this caller either.

This caller has beaten the system and will beat you too, eventually.

Maybe I will end up paying the $139 to buy their credit card. That might be the only way to get them to stop calling me.

I think it should become mandatory for phone companies to provide a 'call blocking' feature.
