This phone number belongs to a public utility named CallerID4U, Inc., which is run by Paul Maduno and Luis Martinez.  They have entered into revenue sharing agreements with telemarketers who make illegal unsolicited telephone calls.  They profit directly from these outbound unsolicited telephone calls.

This appears to be a clear violation of a number of laws, including 16 C.F.R. §310.3(b) of the Federal Telemarketing Sales Rule.

I got the same (fake?) caller ID info, "Republicans", on this same number- too early on Sat morning just to make it more fun.  Most of the other calls I got had 800 or blocked IDs.  Another site has the carrier for this number listed as "callerid4u" -  If faking caller ID info isn't illegal, it should be.

It's a non party energy company. They give a phone number to call at the end of the message. It's to vote for an alternative energy source.

I am signed up with several groups for energy information, but this was not to me specifically.
Totally annoying and not helping anyone decide anything. Just justifying billing somebody for calling, I think.
If I knew who they were billing, I could probably stop the calls as a WASTE of ENERGY.

was Democrats, and FOR energy (non renewable) was Republicans but some are on both sides - so which is it?

It is a mobile number from Washington state. They are associated with an outfit pushing for people to vote for energy independence. Either way, I still want to be left alone.

Recording for some candidate which I didn't stay on the phone long enough to hear about.

Imagine how I felt when I get this call one hour after falling asleep then find out it's another computerized call from someone who wants me to do something for them.  In this case it was political.  This type of solicitation is absolutely a waste.  Who in the H...would vote for someone who violates my right to an undisturbed nights sleep.

Do people that make produce these calls, for whatever reason, think that normal people even answer them or acknowledge them in anyway.  I've seen enough from the comments above.  Whatever neutrality I might have had has sent me the other way.  There might be a bright light at the end of this; the utter uselessness of money to by votes.  Better yet it sparks an outrage to identify and abolish this "free speech" from public access.

They just called me- its an automated message saying please vote for affordable energy. It's from a group called Alliance for America or something.

I'm on the no sales solicitation calls list and this telemarketer still called me.  How do we stop these calls?

We get 2 of these calls a day.  Seriously annoying.

This type of call is BS.  Remember when incoming and outgoing calls were charged against your bill? You would never get a call from a robo caller because the public would cry bloody murder because of the cost. Then when incoming calls were changed to "free", the phone companies started selling lists to spammers so they could charge you to be unlisted!  Create a problem for the public, and then sell them a soulution. Perfect!

Political robocall. Automated press #1 or #2 for how you will vote type poll. No opt out option. They need to change these type calls to be part of Do Not Call list.
