I thought these calls were long gone. Guess not, I'm kinda glad, I love to play with these people; I gave them a car dated back to 1978, they said it was still covered but needed to be redone and ask for my credit card #. I told them I had just STOLLEN some and would it be ok for me to use one them? They said YES. Go figure.

This is one of those supposed car warranty deals. Caller dupes unsuspecting answerer into giving up personal info, more likely than not to be used for other arcane purposes.

I gotta call from 206-397-1715. It was computer generated. Pressed 1 to speak to a rep and while waiting I got recording that this call is monitored and recorded. When the lady come on the line she requested what kind of vehicle I own. I asked her to tell me, since she is the one who called. She stated that she couldn't give out that info for security reasons. I politely told her she has no clue what kind vehicle I own or if I even own a vehicle and that this call was nothing but a scam. She denied that being so. Then I simply stated to her that this call was being monitored and recorded, She agreed that it was and I said from both ends. She asked what do you mean and I told her this call is being recorded from both ends and that I have repeatedly asked for my number to be removed from their calling list and I want it removed now. (Something thudded in backgroud like a jaw drop on a desk) She stated that her voice sounds really good when recorded and I told her that the AG would enjoy listening to her voice, but then was cut off with recording saying that my number had been removed. rotflmao

Yes, I've seen the Sales Department with this number on my phone quite a lot. Some times they recording references car warranties other times something about credit cards ("do not worry, there is no problem"). The phone number is from Seattle WA but I can find no address connected with it.
hate this !!~ 2011-06-06 20:42:08 Unknown
I get a call right at 10 a.m., and I do not answer it, it is a telemarketer,
I do not think that they sould be allowed to call us, without given the
possibility to complain to someone, for we do not want these calls.,
Do not respond
jk 2011-06-06 20:42:08 Unknown
simple do not answer calls from numbers u do not recognize, then these solicitors would go into some other ? activity.
gary 2011-06-06 20:42:08 Unknown
I got at least 5 calls from these people before I finally turned them into the FTC. What they're doing is illegal and you you do not even have to be registered on the do not call list for it to be illegal since it's a recorded computer generated call.If everyone turned them in the law would have the owner arrested if I read the info right. Turn them in !!!!!!!!!

I keep getting calls from this and others. After doing some research on this number it brought me here. Other numbers I researched gave instructions how to block these calls. On your phone hit *60 and follow the prompts. It also gives you the option to a** phone numbers you want blocked. I went in and blocked this number from calling me again. I am on the Do not call list but obviously people still call. Hope this helps if you want to stop these calls.

Called at 11 am - no message left
Tom 2011-06-06 20:42:08 Unknown
Just play along with them..and eventually they will get mad and remove you..they say that they need to verify that your warranty hasnt expired.
So they want you to tell them what type of car you have.
But, tell them that since they called you they should have it.
They'll say that due to "security reasons" they cant give it to you.
SO, ask them who they think they called.
Again "due to security reason I cant tell you that."
SO...tell them, "Okay, so you cant tell me who you are..but you called my number and want to know my name and what kind of car I am driving."
They say "YES".
So tell them a car that you dont have.
They say "well...I dont have that in my system"
Then tell them a car you do have... chances are they'll say they dont show that either... they'll get mad and transfer you to a switchboard that takes your name off the list
-ENJOY!!!

I got a call from this number, they did not leave a message. What is discouraging is my new cell phone has been registered with donotcall.gov and I should not be randomly selected.
Curious 2010-05-03 18:18:09 Unknown
They call and never leave a message so I assume it's a scam. How do I make it stop? Any ideas?

ITS A SCAM! ALREADY BEEN SUED BY FTC - THEY ARE NOT EVEN SUPPOSED TO BE CALLING!
Auto Warranty Robocallers Must Sell Own Cars For Consumer Redress
31 Mar 2010
A deceptive robocall operation that allegedly used millions of pre-recorded telemarketing messages to fraudulently pitch extended auto warranties to U.S. consumers will pay more than $655,000 in consumer redress and will be permanently banned from telemarketing, as part of a settlement with the Federal Trade Commission.
The company that arranged to blast out auto warranty robocalls, Voice Touch, Inc., and its principal, James A. Dunne, agreed to the terms to settle a complaint filed by the FTC in May 2009.
In addition to paying approximately $655,000, Dunne will have to turn over the proceeds from the sale of his second home in Florida and two luxury cars, a Porsche 911 and a Lexus sedan.
Dunne and Voice Touch are two of six defendants who were sued by the FTC, which received a flood of complaints as a result of the auto warranty robocalling campaign.
According to the FTC?s complaint, Voice Touch, Inc. and Dunne acted as brokers between telemarketers and the dialing companies that actually made the pre-recorded robocalls. They conducted telemarketing campaigns on behalf of several companies, causing tens of millions of consumers to receive illegal pre-recorded pitches that misled consumers to think that the callers were affiliated with consumers? car dealership or manufacturer, and that their auto warranty was expiring or about to expire.
The settlement order against Voice Touch and Dunne permanently bars them from both telemarketing and assisting anyone else in telemarketing.
Finally, the order requires Dunne to cooperate with the FTC in its ongoing case against the remaining defendants.

Another phone number complaint web site doesn't show this phone number as a valid phone number to begin with. Must be one of them over seas scam outfits using phone numbers from here that can't be tracked back to them.

Quit pestering people and GET A LIFE of your own. If people are not answering their phone or paying their bill...what in the world makes you think you're harassment will change that???!!!! You're all a bunch of IDIOTS!!!! How do you know people are "deadbeats"? That's how debt collectors treat everyone and you haven't got a clue. You get a phone number and just keep harassing people because you have no life of your own!! STOP HARASSING PEOPLE!! When you don't get any where after a phone call or TWO then stop calling!!!! I just unplug the phone and figure you can just listen to the phone ring and it only wastes YOUR time not mine. If I want anyone to call me....I give them my cell number and still get any IMPORTANT CALLS that I want!!! Happy dialing!!!
