People tend to really misunderstand how it works and generally do not understand that the dnc does not protect you from the scams,frauds,extortionists and the unscrupulous nasty's that refuse to obey laws. Charity's and political, along with some survey's are exempt from this.  Most of those will place you on the their internal DNC if asked though and there is a political DNC (it works very well too I might add) list you can sign up with.  

Complaints filed with the DNC and other agency's are used to establish a pattern, then they can take action. They do make busts, they do fine them, and they do make arrests. You also need to realize that some of these bad actors are located in foreign country's and then their government has to work with ours. Slow it may be, but it does happen!

The more complaints filed, the more info they have to go on!

Am on DNC.  Why are these robocalls still happening ?  With all the technology in the world, why is it that the FCC or someone cannot stop these ?  I think we need to disband the FCC department of the government as they are not fulfilling their work requirements.

Hang ups. I called the number. It was a recording, said it was for telemarketing and to type in my # to be removed from their list. Doesn't make sense. What kind of telemarketer hangs up on you!

This guy called on behalf of Matronics Alarm monitoring service. I set up an installation for the following day but he never showed up after asking about my credit card information.

Same old routine. I got a call from 206-397-1983. I did not answer, they did not leave a message. They called twice within one minute.

Called but did not leave a message!  We are on the Do Not Call list but it doesn't seem to help at all!

They can feel free to call all they want til Hades freezes and they'll never have the privilege of speaking with me. ?and the DNC list???? Yet another dysfunctional use of our taxes!

Called us just now.  The computer trashed it before it could go to the
answering machine, because of other past junk calls from 206-397-1xxx.

controlled by callerid4u.com, and this is one of them.

Called @ 2:52 P.M. Central Time on 9/11/2013. Don't ask how they got a hold of my number because your guess is as good as mine.
