Also, the fact that the "order number" is supposed to contain the last +4 of one's social security number should be a hint that this is fraudulent.  **DO NOT GIVE OUT THIS INFORMATION!**

This must be a scam.  Lady calls, says she represents a company called "Nocation Services" (which by the way does not exist in Washington State, (WA Dept of Revenue)) but says it three ways, like "Vocation" and "Location" first and when I asked the spelling she said "With an N-".  She started getting harsh, so I asked for the supervisor.  With NO PAUSE she says "you are speaking with the supervisor ma'am" and I said that sounded strange considering the voice hadn't changed at all.  Apparently this lady is both "Ms. Jordan" (apparent supervisor) and "Ms Weiss" (who apparently called me) at the same time.

Anyways, she asked for information from me which I of course denied. "I do not give out information over the phone, but I am happy to receive it".  She gave some order number and said there was a legal case about to be brought if the person she was trying to reach did not get back to her within 24 hours.  When I brought up "cease and desist" (yes, those are the magic words here people...) she *claimed* it "does not count for pending legal matters" (which to my knowledge is incorrect).  All along in the conversation she continually used harsh words & tones, even raising her voice at me, a poor attempt at scare tactics.

She also called the other day and someone else in my home answered, she used the name "Mrs. Rice" and when asked if it was an attempt to collect a debt denied that it was and insisted that "it's an attempt to resolve something before it goes to court" (i.e. scare tactic to try collecting, classic scam).

If this person/number calls you I would suggest not giving out any personal information and using "cease and desist these calls" as your personal mantra.  Also, Washington State allows you to monitor/record your own conversations as long as you announce it within the first 30 seconds of the conversation; so mark this number as one to record and make sure to make the announcement at the beginning of the call.  This can be used to prove harassment.

From what I understand this seems to be a scam debt collector, acting outside of the law entirely.  **Law abiding debt collectors cannot call more than three times per week, cannot use threatening or intimidating behavior towards you, cannot threaten criminal action or use foul language, and must let you know who they are (company name, address, original creditor, etc) (atg.wa.gov).

I see a civil suit in the future for this "company" and "Ms Jordan/Ms Weiss/Mrs Rice".

Mom-in-law called me asking if I had served papers on a person (who we are involved with legally) to which I replied, 'no.'  She said she just got a call for my brother-in-law, who lives at home, they knew his name, age and said they needed to call "every person on the list" that they were a "location company" and left a case # WPG(followed by 5 digits).  We googled the number and found out it was a scam.  The clencher?  Moments later, they CALLED MY PHONE!!!!  Pretty much all the same info left in a message and said they were also looking for my mother-in-law whose name they gave but used her ex husbands last name as her middle!  Why would they call MY CELL PHONE looking for her anyways!?!  She thinks it has something to do with an upload to anscestry.com, but who knows.  Its just too weird and coincidental.  I called Jesse Jones on this one.  Its a Randall Goins related incident according to other posts.  We'll see!  PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION!!!!

A very unprofessional gal trying to sound mean and stern left a msg saying she HAS to talk to "one of us" (?) and they have a legal order against me and that the call serves as legal notice. HA. Good luck. I wish I had picked up. It has to be a scam, I don't have any legal issues or legal debt obligations, etc.
