Getting calls from the last two weeks saying that they are the us treasury and that I have a bonus to claim for a grant. I told them that I didn't want it but thanks and they wanted to pressure me in telling them why I didn't want it and I just simply told them that I do not have to give them a reason and hung up the phone. Then they call again today 6-9-14 and was trying the same thing. I get there phone number and they gave me a conformation number to call there manager at 206-462-5158. I looked it up and is a scam.

Some monkey with a foreign accent called me today to tell me I qualified for a $9000 grant from the US treasury. He gave me a confirmation number and asked if I wanted the money deposited directly into my bank account, credited to a credit card or via Western Union. I picked WU since I was not about to give out my bank account or credit card number. He told me to call him back on 202-462-5158 after I had completed the WU pick up money form. Then the BS came when he said I was to buy a $4.95 green dot money pack cardboard card and put up $240. Soon as I heard that I had to put up money, I told him to shove it. Obviously, a con artist.

I received the same phone call.They keep to call me every day and this is very strange.I think they are trying to foolish someone.hope they won't do it with

I got a call about 9000 dollars they want me to go buy a green dot card and put $220 on it and they will western union me the 9000 dollars they said they were the us treasury department I told them I dont believe it is true.

they called and said they were from the government and they were going to give me $9000 for being a good citizen and they gave me either my account number or a credit card or Western Union

Just got the same call.  The gov't has to use unknown phone numbers??  He said I was receiving this offer because of my great record of paying bills on time and always filing taxes on time.  Well, my credit record stinks and I am behind on my taxes.  I could barely understand him, and when I called the 'U S Treasury' #, I swear it was the same person!! I was told yo ask for Michael Freeman there.  DO NOT let them scam you.   Remember, if it sounds too good to be true....it is.

U.S. Treasury Dept's "Loyalty Bonus Money" - same scenerio as stated above but call back number was 315-215-0759.
I talked to Brad with heavy accent.  Yep, it's a scam.

I have been getting the calls for a couple of weeks now. It is the same as all the others. The phone number I called back was 315-215-0759 and he told me he was calling from the address 290 Broadway New York, New York 10007. I looked that up online and it is an IRS office and when I called they do not take incoming calls. Someone needs to get these people before they steal money from someone.

I got the call today & knew it could not be us treasury,  because they only knew my initials & p.o box info, when I informed the man that I did not have $270, he asked how much I had! Scam, scam, scam! I hope the FBI finds these jokers & put them behind bars!

I just got tha call,, This is b***s***!!!!! Do not believe !!! The person on the phone is Indian, isn't Hispanic I am Hispanic we don't talk like that

My mother was scammed out of almost $3,000 on this.  I can't believe it, my mom is not a stupid woman, but this is an incredible learning experience for her.  They even said if you give us $399 you will get your money back, if you give us $497, you will get the full $13,000.  Unbelievable!!!

I recently received this call as well scam its a scam veca.

PEOPLE this is a SCAM..............these people r utilizing older citizens and calling from over seas with routed numbers. Here's the easiest way to deal with this, hang up. Or inform them that you will have there attorney call them to deal with this matter as all your financial matters are conducted through your attorney.

Think about it..........................if the US GOV was going to give you any free money, it would be sent to you in a check form. Not sent via western union or in any other form.

My suggestion is when you receive these calls, forward the numbers to the FBI at 202-278-2000.

Jus got the exact call a few mins ago....i said i wanted mine western union n i was told to go to western union location n get form to recieve $ n call them back to fill it out....im very curious about this....i know its probably a scam

Received multiple calls from a man with a heavy accent by the name of Kevin Jones. Told me I was going to receive $9,000 for being a loyal citizen of the U.S. for paying my bills on time and having a clean record.. to good to be true.. He asked me how I wanted to receive my money I said Check and He said It was not possible to do so, He wanted either my bank Information or my debit card info. I told him that I was leery about the situation. I ALWAYS GET MY GRANTS IN CHECKS... DONT BELIEVE THIS.

I received a call from 516-400-0087 telling me I was to receive $9,000 from the United States Treasury Department as a loyalty bonus. English was not her native language, probably Hispanic. I had a hard time understanding what she was saying. She wanted me to call back and speak to her manager at 315-215-0759 and give my name and the confirmation number she gave me to the manager to release the funds immediately. It is obviously a scam.  A short search on the internet revealed other numbers, calls like this, originated from as well.

I received a call from an unavailable number telling me I was due $9,000 from the United States Treasury Department. It was a foreign woman speaking. I kept asking her to repeat herself so I could understand what she was saying. She wanted me to call back and speak to her manager Florence Perry at 206-462-5158. She wanted to verify my personal information which I refused and asked her to remove me from her call list. She promptly hung up. I believe this is a scam.

Lady called & said she was calling from the U.S. Treasury Dept and that I was 1 of 1500 people who qualified for a $9,000 loyalty bonus... and asked how I would like to receive my funds - bank wire or western union. I told her I want a check. She said they don't offer that option. I confronted her and advised I was reporting the call. She went out of her way to try and convince me it was real, gave me a confirmation number and told me to call this number to have my funds released in 20-25 minutes. I told her to have a great day and to never call me again then ended the call.

I received a call from unavailable, spoke with a mexican lady and she gave me the confirmation number and this phone number to call to receive my 9,000.00 loyalty reward from the us treasury dept. when i did call the number just to see what was up i got a hold of a mexican lady sounded like the women who called me which sent up a flag in my head and when i asked how i would receive the money she said i had to activate a wal-mart green dot card for $5 to activate the confirmation number i was given when i received the initial call.  I told the lady i was hesitant and that i didn't want to get my identity stolen and she hung up on me right on the spot.  just a warning watch out for this number because it is a scam and i'm pretty sure this lady watched the movie identity thief and got her scam from that.

I received a call today about this Loyalty Program.  I was very skeptical and kept asking her if it was legit.  I searched the US Dept. of Treasury offical site and found NOTHING about it.  I am going to contact my State Att General about the call.  I would almost like to call to find out exactly what they are doing....But I won't.

In addition, how would I like this money sent to me via checking account or credit card or Western Union.  I said Western Union just to see where she was headed with this.  She then gave me a money approval number and said not to share it with anyone.  Gave me this number 206-462-5158 to call and give my approval number.   Obviously, this is a scan.
