Here is a solution to this problems.    Works for us.

There is NO stopping all the telemarketers out there. Here is what is going on.

1. There are phone bots, that all it does is call numbers looking for live phone numbers. If the number answers either with you picking up or your voice mail, then it logs that number and moves on to the next number.

2. With all these 'live numbers' they are then sold to the telemarketers who then with their automatic dialers, will then be calling you etc.

3. If you try to call the number that they are calling you from, then you get no where because they do not want to be bothered as we are with 100 of calls.
So you are either getting the telemarketers or the phone bots calling you.   Getting mad or calling to be taken off their phone list is a waste of time.

SO OUR SOLUTION, as we are in an office, is we answer the first time, and as soon as we know its a bot, or a telemarketer, we save the phone number in our phone as a Z meaning that it is a telemarketer, etc.

Then when the next call comes in it shows that it is a Z and  we just ignore it.

Right now, we have over 40 - Z phone numbers on our log, and we no longer get bothered but we are adding at least 2 a day to the Z list.

Give up ... find a way to just know that they will never stop but there is a way for you to know in advance that they are calling and to just ignore them.
Let us know if you try this and it works for you, it works like a bomb for us.

I'm just wondering what Irish mobile numbers have to do with this thread.  Irish mobile numbers start with 087 or 086 last I knew.

Someone has a blog post about them and also has a YouTube video of dealing with them. His blog post is at: http://asliceofbigpauly.wordpress.com/2012/10/23/if-you-cant-stop-them-slow-them-down/  He also managed to get connected to one of their other numbers (in California) that you can dial into. The other number is 949-202-1151.  That number looks familiar and may be the other number they use when they spam me with calls.  Their other number is definitely a California call starting with 949 area code.

This telephone number belongs to Pacific Telecom Communications Group, a public utility operated in part by F Antone Accuardi of Portland Oregon.  He uses a foreign "shell" company to enter into revenue sharing agreements with illicit telemarketers.  This is a likely violation of a number of laws, including 16 C.F.R. §310.3(b) of the Federal Telemarketing Sales Rule.

Week after week, I receive multiple calls per day from 206-496-0913. They are fake Google, meaning they never tell you the real name of their company and they just say they are calling ?on behalf of Google?. They are scammers trying to coerce you to agree to let them update your business?s Google Places account. The thing is, it only takes a person a few minutes to log in and do the same thing this telemarketer/spammer/scammer wants you to pay them hundreds of dollars to do. Every time they call I tell them I am not interested and please remove my number. They do not remove it. A different representative from the same place calls me back later that day or the next day and the cycle continues. They should be penalized for not removing numbers when a person asks them to. They call both my business number and my cell phone number, which is on the Do Not Call list. I?m getting sick and tired of it. I have a business to run and do not have time for their strong-arm sales tactics.

I have asked several times for them remove us from their calling list.  They keep calling.  Very annoying.

Called our office. These people need a new work order. Same old scamming procedures. Great that people know their routine. Keep up the listing of these people.

These losers just tried calling and telling my assistant that my business was going to be de-listed from Google. Because this didn't make any sense, I Googled the phone number.  Presto. They are scammers. I LOVE sites like this. It makes our lives SO much easier.

Yeah, I am not a business, I don't own a business, and I am sick to death of these kinds of calls coming to my personal cell phone. I sometimes feel like putting my number on the do not call registry just makes more of these calls come, not less.

It's a spammer company trying to hide behind Google's name and reputation (by making themselves sound like they are calling from Google or aligned with Google), so they can convince you your business will be listed as "closed" if you don't update your Google Places business profile.  Then they try to push you to buy their services, charging you $100 or more to make an update to your listing that would take you less than 5 minutes to login yourself and make.

I get call after call from this number but I just ignore it because all the lookup sites I've checked show complaints that this is a spam call. Months ago I did receive a call from a fake "Google" group wanting to charge me to update my profile and I told them why would I pay over $100 for someone else to do it when I could log in for 5 minutes and do it myself.  It's probably that same group calling back.  Don't these companies realize that there are a bunch of these call reporting sites online now and all we have to do is check the number to see what has been reported. No one in their right mind is going to pick up a spam or a telemarketing call. Get a clue, spammers.

I get calls all the time saying Google will say my business closed if I do not respond. Dont know who they are but they try to get money out of you to update your listing. I think it is a scam. If you ask them detailed questions they transfer you to someone else again and again.

SAYS IT'S GOOGLE.  I PRESSED 1 & TRIED TO SPEAK TO A REP FROM YET ANOTHER COUNTRY WHO WOULDN'T TELL ME WHAT IT WAS ABOUT.  TOLD HIM TO REMOVE MY # FROM THEIR LIST.

Got a call from 206-496-0913....it was recorded message, if you don't respond NOW, google will unlist your business...when I pressed "1" to find out more information, a man by the name of Parker answered...he rattled off some crap, when I said are you just an advertising company he hung up on me.  I guess that means his answer is YES.

The only way is to phone the person and ask them.Mobile nrbuems are no different in Ireland than anywhere else.There is no phone directory for mobile phones.If you want to be devious get a friend to phone for you.

Go to the home page to find the contact form.  If you knew why the banner ads were here it would just piss you off even more.   Timeshare Resale Ripoff Industry  you say, and what do you call Buy Owner Resort Marketing and Project Transition that you put down as your website?  Buy Owner Resort Marketing was shut down, last I checked state investigators do not shut down businesses that are run legit. You left a previous comment claiming to have purchased the services of Project Transition and how happy you were with them.  Now you sound like a pissed off employee of the company since you posted under the same damn name.You can add content to the site, hell you just did when you responded.  People also use the contact page as well to send in ifiarmotnon, but I see your not tech savy enough to even find it

They are a rude internet marketing co. affiliated with google..aledgedly....called E-Hound. the "Supervisor" named John argued with me and provided me with false or improper corp. contact info. to call in a complaint. The pre recorded message i responded to claimed if i didnt "up date" my google profile i would be considered no longer in business. i feel this is a insidious scare tactic to get your business.

Illegal robocall with the same old get your business listed on google scam.
