consumers submitted 208,362 complaints to the FTC regarding unsolicited telephone calls from Pacific Telecom phone numbers between the dates of between June 2012 and August 24, 2012.   Over 25% of all complaints submitted to the FTC during this period were filed against Pacific Telecom phone numbers.

My cleaning lady's business is tough right now so I provide her with a cellphone.  She says she keeps getting calls talking something about FBI and security and she hangs up.

This is the number.  People using "spoofed" numbers are usually trying to cheat the phone company or cheat you.
Based on her informal discussion with me, this is not a telemarketer, it's a scam artist working to fish out information or a deposit.

After doing more research on this number I have found that this number is NOT a Pacific Telecomunications Group out of service number. I can find NO such company.
What I did find is that this number can be traced back to ITL "International Tecom Ltd." at 417 2ed Avenue W. Ste 150  Seattle Washington 98119-4012.  1-206-479-7000 and 1-206-312-1598. I called the secound number and was told this is a Spoofed number. This means that the teli-marketer is replacing their actual number with another. In this case 206-496-0952 is being used as the number that shows up on your Caller I.D. At least this is what customer service told me at ITL.
Weather they are hiding from the truth or they are also a victum of fraud, I have no idea.

Perhaps if more people would call ITL, they would try to stop this. This may not be possible, I just don't know.

Maybe I'm wrong and there is a Pacific Telecomunications Group attached to all of this. I just can not find it.

Please stop making unsolicited calls. When phone technology catches up with the law, these call numbers should be fined and fired! It is harassment  of the dangerous kind.

got home and saw this number on caller ID at 7:52PM.  Nothing on voice mail.  I live in the Portland OR Metro area.   I immediately googled the number and found this site, so I thought I would add my comment as well.   This is the first call from this entity, and I am on the Do Not Call list (what a joke!!), but I suspect they do a sequentially incremented call algorithm rather than from a legitimate marketing list, so they never come across any #'s that say Don't call.  Whatever, I won't answer if they call again, but I have hit my limit on call blocking, so that's out of the question for now...alas, I have a truckload of scammers calling me.   Thinking of giving up the phone altogether and using smoke signals.

When will the calls stop? Six calls today alone!! HELP!!

never will quit. these people are relentless. I get calls everyday no matter what. I have hit the number to be removed so many times it hurts my brain to think of a number. I hate to change a number that many customers of mine have. I will lose alot of work if I do change it. I have gotten to where I just screw with them giving them a old lady voice and acting like I cant hear them and I keep saying answers and then recanting and giving them other answers. I am onthe no call list and have reported them to no avail. They claim they are a security company and they tell me they are out of South Carolina but a google search says they are from Washington State.... this figures since the people in Washington state have alot of hate for southerners I find from my experiences.

These calls start with a recording, then send you to a person who asks for information, then you get sent to the real salesperson.  I tried hitting the number to get off their list (sometimes 9, sometimes 2) but I kept getting the calls, so now I give them a fake name (no, I'm not really Leonard) and tell them I live at 445 12th Street SW, Washington, DC 20554, which is the FCC.  :)

Recieved another call. My son answered it, but he hungup the phone. He just didn't understand that he should give me the phone so I could question the caller. Number was 206-496-0952.

They are con artists trying to get your personal information. They call from multiple fake area codes and phone numbers.

The phone calls will stop for a week or two then start up again.

You would think they would get a clue and stop calling people who are on to their sad little scam.

I get a call EVERYDAY from this number offering me a Security System. It says to press 9 to be placed on their Do Not Call list but the calls continue. When You call the number back it says it is disconnected.

Am on a do not call registry and these calls continue!
